Well, we have been busy since we got here but we made it. Vero beach camp is very nice, very quiet and moderately priced. Cable hook up is a joke, but we are not here all day and only have the TV on to fall asleep to so it works.
1200+ miles down, charged 10 times only had to unhook 1 time. That was the best part. charged every 120-150 miles even though we could have gone further but did not know the exact conditions at the next charger so I decided to play it safe and not get too low. Sort of the same as gas vehicle in a gas shortage situation. Never got too low, towed like it literally was not even there. I know people say that all the time, including myself with my ridgeline, but I now know the true meaning of like it is not there. I I had to watch it driving and taking off from a stop, it has so much torque, you don't know it is there. It has air ride so the headlights are always level and don't blind oncoming traffic.
No complaints at all and I have to say it again, this is the best vehicle I have ever owned.
Using 50% of the battery, we traveled 100 miles which means 200miles on a full charge. But that was headed down south so we might use more heading up north....
Speed limits were no problem, but it only has ACC. I thought my hack(work around) for tricking the truck into being able to use FSD did not work. Bummer. It knew the truck was towing as it recognized the weight of the trailer. It works with light trailers with no brakes....I am not suggesting anything, so don't do anything i say and I didn't say anything.
I wish (I know, worthless statement) that it came with the promised 500+ mile range back in 2019. That would be about 250-300 mile range towing my 3-3200lbs Casita and would have cut the charging stops in half and made the possible (maybe?) California trip with the camper awesome. Cannot even come close to affording the extra battery pack and would not want to lose half the bed. If I hit the lottery, I will buy another, or two, or maybe even ten more, CT with the pack just for trips. Hey YOLO.
Not a single issue except it seems my truck is included in recall.
