I have read several posts, but have yet to find one with a definitive answer. I have reached out to Tesla, but have not received a reply. I own a foundation series AWD that I purchased in October. Does anyone know if my $2500 Tesla credit is a once and done, or can I make multiple purchases within the year? Thanks in advance.

If it's in your wallet (and no, I'm not jealous because I have the old use-it-or-lose-it voucher, haha!!) then it's just like a gift card. You can use as little as you want and the remaining balance will be available.

There IS an expiration date (should be in the email you got from Tesla about your credit) which is about one-year from when the credit was issued.

I’m concerned about the advice given above. I’ve triple checked and it is a one time spend. If you don’t spend it all you lose it. So if you bought a $500 charger you lose $2000 because you have to spend it all at once. I had a conversation with Tesla customer service about this and have also read it in multiple places. I hope I’m wrong but this is how I understand it.

That used to be the case when the $2,500 was a voucher, now it is issued as Tesla Credits in your account, which allows it to be used until it is depleted (or expired).

Luckily, you are wrong. I think there are some that are one time use, and some like mine that are a credit.

If I order something that is out of stock (which is almost everything) will they auto ship? If not, I’m concerned that it will not be considered a one time purchase and then lose the balance of the out of stock amount

I'm curious where my 250.00 deposit for the cybertruck is. I've asked for it back with no reply. I have reservations for two.

It's absolutely one time use if it's the old voucher.

The voucher was a code emailed to you after delivery and the email said it was one time use.

Then, around August (?) 2024, Tesla switched to putting $2,500 in Tesla Shop credits in your wallet after delivery. The email for THAT said they can be used until a certain expiration date (about one year from when the credits were issued).

tl;dr:

- If you got a voucher code in an email, it's use-it-all-in-one-shot-or-lose-the-rest. The voucher code expires about a year after issuance
- If you got Tesla Shop credits, it's use as you like until gone. The shop credits expire about one year from issuance

Thanks for the clarification. I’m unfortunately in the first group. I have 4 months left to find enough in stock things I want for an order.

Me too, I’ve got till June 30,2025.

I’m waiting for the Air Compressor Ultra. Once thats in-stock, I’ll buy what I can and backfill with Universal Wall Connectors to resell, haha!!

So, if I order a few items and one of those items is out of stock, do I lose that amount or will they back order the item, or will I get that amount back into the voucher?

I’m assuming everything has to be in stock at time of order. I’d probably do the winter tire package if it was available.

Tesla doesn’t do back orders (which is super frustrating for us OG voucher people, haha), so no worries about that. If the item you‘re ordering goes out of stock during checkout, they’ll just adjust your total down to the in-stock items.
