There has to be more to it. Elon has said that the angular aspects of the truck are actually not great for aerodynamics and nothing else has changed. He has also said that it’s really hard to make a windshield with that angle so I’m wondering if it doesn’t have to do with strength? Who knows...

Although you are correct about the bed length of other more traditional trucks, the whole sales pitch at the reveal was that more would be offered within the same foot print. I was really hopeful that the 6.5 foot bed would make it through to production. Doesn’t look like it. ??‍♂️
