Guessing that you'd use gas on long trips, adding charging at night or during meals if available (restaurant, campsite, hotel, home.) But you wouldn't need to stop to charge, as the engine should be able to keep the battery charged.
Maybe we need a new thread: Cybertruck vs. Ramcharger...
Exactly why I ordered a Cybertruck - best blend of the capabilities of minivan (6 pax, fits in garage) and full size pickup (towing, standard bed). Or wait for perfection - Cybervan.
Absent some external reason, I keep cars until reliability drops, typically sometimes after 200,000 miles. Will do the same here, hoping reliability is 300-500,000 miles.

Also some sheet goods (e.g. melamine) come oversized at 49"x97". Agree wiggle room is needed, so 50" is minimum practical bed width, and 75" length would work. And we used to call the company work trucks "six packs" because they carried "six pax" to the job. That's six adult construction...

The lot was also full of 2022's - must be cars that finally got their chips.
Great discussion. One additional consideration driven home while strolling through an ICE car dealership yesterday. New cars had dealer markup of $5,000 to $50,000. That's on top of MSRP and another $3,000 in packs - clear shield, wheel locks, windshield treatment, touchscreen protector...
“Both Berlin and Austin factories are gigantic money furnaces right now. Okay? It’s really like a giant roaring sound, which is the sound of money on fire,” Musk said in an interview with Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley...
Don't forget the following theft:
- Deducting FICA for social security benefits that the system will be unable to pay. FICA is currently collecting $1.373 trillion, soon it will have to cut benefits by 20%. That's $270 billion in theft.
- Inflation, right now stealing an extra 7% per year...
