I don't believe this is possible unless you specified them as a secondary registrant in reg details in the app. I do believe there is in person signing and ID check on delivery day.
VIN assignment means it's likely enroute from the factory or about to be in the next 24-48 hours. VIN 7800 means this is probably the case(and not already at the delivery center) as it's recent in terms of latest production numbers.
VIN to delivery is typically 14 days, +/- 2 days. Hopefully...
My truck is enroute from the factory as of today. I suspect parts to fix accelerators are also enroute to delivery centers all over.
I expect any delayed deliveries to be sorted by next Wed or Thurs.
This hold was a non issue as expected.
Check https://www.cybertruck.vin/ . Select your state and see what order dates have VINs. If folks in your state are not getting VINs for Dec or early Jan orders, you may be waiting a few more weeks.

VINS are a great sign that the fix is simple. No one is pre-paying simply from getting a VIN, or at least they shouldn't, until they have a delivery date.

VINs being assigned at a decent rate the past couple days. I saw in another thread someone had a rescheduled delivery date of 4/20. This hold has turned out to be a non issue.
Anyone complaining about this is nuts, and are likely the same folks who would throw a fit and "talk to the manager"...
