As a 3x time Tesla buyer a VIN has ALWAYS been attached to the 9 pre-delivery tasks. It meant delivery was roughly 2 weeks away. I‘m puzzled as to why Tesla decided to switch things up by sending EVERY SAWD reservation holder pre-delivery tasks to their app.

The YT title was pure Click Bait. The truck was clearly a used RWD model with nearly 7,000 miles on the odometer. If the CC bent down he would not see axle shafts to the front wheels.

You accepted delivery? Ask politely to have the directional wrap redone so everything matches.

Once you get assigned a VIN you will be able to complete tasks 3 through 9. Until then just sit tight.

Glitch or not I decided to start the 9 step pre-delivery tasks today. Steps 1 and 2 are as far as I can go. I was even able to add the “American Heroes” $500 discount through ID.Me.

My delivery window updated this morning in Tesla Assist. AI was stating 2027 for the past 3 weeks.

With 2/27 orders now receiving pre-delivery tasks I have a strong suspicion something glitched in the automatic computer system. Not having a VIN attached is a big red flag.

This will be our 3rd Tesla and a VIN was always attached when we received pre-delivery tasks. It’s very, very strange how no VIN is listed. I suspect a glitch in the system. I'm not getting my hopes up until I receive a VIN. Tesla stated June delivery when I placed my order. Ordered 2/20 7am...
