Fascinating stuff. You can tell that a lot of design and engineering went into the door panels.
Just like the outer door skin the inner shell is also made of stainless steel.
I predict the following for non-FS trucks:
-basic interior with no white interior trim option
-smaller 33” tires with base wheel covers
-less amount of speakers for sound system
-floor mats will be optional
-120/240v charging kit will be optional
-no standard tie down cleats in bed
I’m predicting that our FS e-mails to ‘Start Designing’ choices will eventually switch to Dual/Tri non-FS choices.
Only Tesla insiders know when this change will occur. It will most likely occur without any notice or fanfare from Tesla. The webpage will simply change overnight.

It's rumored that Tesla dealer prep includes a 2-3 hour buff with a random orbital sander.
I find that hard to be true. Once volume production kicks in that process would not be economically feasible.
I think the Q1 delivery push had a lot to do with your “normal” delivery experience. Tesla only has 14 days left to deliver as many vehicles as possible.
Regarding range. The Cybertruck falls into the 3/4 and 1-ton pickup territory and slips through the EPA cracks. No EPA testing is required by law.
Tesla engineers know full well that Cybertruck battery range was going to suck, especially towing and off-road.
Per the current EPA loophole the Cybertruck doesn’t go through EPA testing. It’s the same with 3/4 and 1-ton ICE pickup trucks. Tesla can make up any range number that it wants for the Cybertruck.
Friday afternoon build?
As much as it would have pained me I would have rejected the vehicle and waited for a replacement. The workmanship is simply unacceptable on a $100k vehicle.
