Am i doing this wrong or are these wheel covers not supposed to fit?

Mine are different, but I think you just pry them off with a trim removal tool or a screwdriver.

Phantom person warning when backing up

I am on software 2026.2.9.10 / FSD v14.3.2 and I just started getting a false warning when I put the truck in reverse showing a person on the driver's side of the truck. There is noone outside. I first got this warning yesterday and it made me stop and look around/check cameras. Today it...

Magnetic sticker damage - how to restore stainless steel finish?

Sure thing. I also have plenty of Walter Blendex pads now, as they come in packs of 20. Tesla should consider selling refinishing kits with three Blendex pads, one of each grade.

Magnetic sticker damage - how to restore stainless steel finish?

Thank you, I ordered the red 3-pack from Amazon. Sounds like it would be close to Walter Blendex Medium 07R613, which I understand is 320 grit equivalent.

Magnetic sticker damage - how to restore stainless steel finish?

Had a chance to try out Walter Blendex pads. This is what it looked like before-- almost a mirror finish where I used the metal polish. This is after Walter Blendex 614 and 615. The mirror spot is gone. I only did the left side of the tailgate and the finish matches well. I can still see the...

Magnetic sticker damage - how to restore stainless steel finish?

I am going to try sanding the tailgate with my Rotex RO 150. I have ordered a soft interface pad for it (https://www.amazon.com/Festool-203351-MJ2-Thick-Interface/dp/B073S8FL3T) and Walter Blendex 614 and 615 pads (Grainger item numbers: 819X67 and 819X68). I have decided to skip 613 medium...

Magnetic sticker damage - how to restore stainless steel finish?

Someone in the comments said these look like the Walter Blendex 613, 614, and 615 pads. https://www.walter.com/us/product/Quick-Step-Blendex-Non-Woven-07R613 https://www.walter.com/us/product/Quick-Step-Blendex-Non-Woven-07R614 https://www.walter.com/us/product/Quick-Step-Blendex-Non-Woven-07R615

Magnetic sticker damage - how to restore stainless steel finish?

This looks great. I wish he provided the info on the three pads that he used. Several people have asked in the comments but did not get a response.

Magnetic sticker damage - how to restore stainless steel finish?

Unfortunately not. I tried it before BKF. Cyberbrite was the reason I removed the magnet, as I was going to apply it to the whole truck.

Magnetic sticker damage - how to restore stainless steel finish?

I had a "student driver" magnet on my tailgate over the winter and it left some rust/etching in the stainless steel. I have tried removing the spots with BKF, which removed the rust spots, but white etching remained. I then tried a metal polish, but only made the problem more noticeable, as I...

Anyone else holding off on the Cantrail recall?

Is this the the sort of "blister" you have? Was your service center able to correct it?

Anyone else holding off on the Cantrail recall?

I think I have that as well. Looks like a round bump, presumably there is a screw head underneath. I don't think it actually protrudes from the surface, but it looks like it does, depending on the angle.
