Autoline teardown: SBW (steer by wire), auxiliary batteries, aluminum charging wires, air suspension tanks, etc.

This is why the CT took 4 years. Steer by wire. I am still waiting for the increase turning angle on the rear stering.

    FSD (Supervised) is now $99/month

Robotaxi, omibot, AI, ultra efficient fabrication. The thing Elon does or doesn't understand is that this will kill the self sufficient middle class. Sure we may have some universal basic income, but we won't be able to afford to buy a car anyway. So unless you own stock in a company that...

    FSD (Supervised) is now $99/month

I enjoyed playing with my free month. Not going to buy, but if I did a long road trip I might pay to see how much it improves in a couple months. Good revenue move.

    FSD (Supervised) is now $99/month

I think FSD should be a 10 year fully transferable license, paying upfront should only cost $10k. While TSLA raises the price of the monthly rate gradually and then big time with level 4. That would be incentive to drop the $10k. From A shareholder view anyway.

All the wraps in one thread

Hey Admin. Could you do a single thread for all the wraps to date so we can vote on them or just scan for our favorites? Thanks Tinker71

Cybertruck V2 Range 500-640 Confirmed Possible - Battery Compartment Space

Also weren't they making CT batteries in California months before the CT started getting produced. Maybe they are still using those up. I think people will be surprised with the affordable battery upgrades. No

Cybertruck V2 Range 500-640 Confirmed Possible - Battery Compartment Space

I thi Elon was pretty clear. He didn't want to build a 9000 lb truck I don't think we will see a double stack but a 20% improvement on 340 is 404. That would be awesome.

Battery Pack Teardown Photos Reveals Empty Spaces (Sandy Munro Live)

I wonder if the battery lines could be adapted for a taller cell with relative ease. That is a lot of dead space. Very encouraging.

Took my Cybertruck on Sedona's Outlaw Trail for Offroading and Camping -- Photos & Lessons Learned

@Cybergirl and all overland dreamers. This would be the ultimate camper. I call it the ROCC. Roll over Cab Camper. Mattress area for 2 adults or 3 playing footsies, or 2 adults and 2 small children, 400lb-ish, 700 watts solar (could extend range over a single battery charge) works...

Cybertruck Thermal Management: A Departure From Previous Tesla Models [Teardown by Sandy Munro Live]

Yes I assumed that the limited ability to lose the heat from the motors/controllers/and batteries from a sustained high speed climb would trigger the curtailment. The Tesla Semi has better cooling and a smaller cab, so probably not an issue. You never know, someone could have their cabin...

Cybertruck Thermal Management: A Departure From Previous Tesla Models [Teardown by Sandy Munro Live]

I predict the CT will curtail power up long grades when towing to prevent overheating in hot weather. So all you Beast owners that plan on smoking ICE up the sustained grades, contain your gloating now. :) Plus your battery consumption will be insane doing 80 up a 6% grade.

FSD 1 month trial -- my impressions

I changed to chill mode and it doesn't change lanes as often. I also added a plus 8% offset. I like this better. Going way under the speed limit on country roads is super annoying and is my worst gripe. It is not relaxing yet. I am stressed out steering wheel tension. I wouldn't mind...

FSD 1 month trial -- my impressions

Second on the country road. It stops acceleration at 25 when the limits are posted at 50. I was impressed today when it crossed the double lines to give some c

    Upgradable battery packs

I don't know about the ability to turn a 75d to a 100d , but I will agree that the economic are not there in most cases. Especially now with falling prices on the S and X. Again. I concede and I don't know. An advanced battery pack is very different. There will need to be a test case, and...

    Upgradable battery packs

The question of the hour is, will the bolt pattern change? I contend that unless the cell voltage changes the cell count and parallel strings will not. They might have fewer cells on the RWD edition, but that is different. The mounting will be the same between the trims. I suppose with...
