Hello OP, any tips on removing that piece?
I just did this sounded deadening treatment. I didn’t add sound deadner above the speaker opening but everywhere else. I did add sounding to the plastic housing of the subwoofer. Also on the back wall behind the sub there is foam material I assume for sound ending from Tesla and it was loose. I added tape to adhere it to the wall. There’s two clips on each end of the housing and then the flat face there’s clips that need to be pulled straight out(red arrow). After doing this, I actually think the base sounds sharper/tighter/less muddy. Saying that my bass sub setting is -1.

I added sound ending where the magenta colors at. If you tap something and it doesn’t sound solid, maybe add a little.

Thanks RoboTaxi it helps a lot, only thing I dont understand is you seem to have pulled out only a partial piece over the subwoofer… how do you remove the whole piece like in the picture of the Thread, that piece looks completely different…

I used the OP picture. It’s all one piece. I believe the cover is bent/bowed up making it look like a section was removed in the picture

I just spent a little bit of time messing with this. When you have the seats up and you’re right there by the panel over the subwoofers, you could really see that shaking and hear the rattle.

Interestingly, just a little bit of pressure with your hand completely gets rid of it. Obviously, that’s not something you can really replicate.

For now, I’ve stuffed a few microfiber towels in different areas and it reduced the rattling just a little bit.
