Has anyone been able to reach Cyberglow? I've been trying for a while via DM and phone calls with no luck. TIA!

I have. a few days ago but he said he was going out of town. The most recent software update basically makes the thing turn off immediately even when “leave aux power on” is checked which makes it basically unuseable for me unless the whitewashing drl is also on. He said he will work on finding a solution when he’s back in town.

Ok well my truck will be at Planet Comicon next week doing light shows for around 100,000 people over the course of 3 days and I was hoping to have one of these installed to be able to show it off for them and provide some additional color to the Halo light shows. If he is out of town then it may be too late to get this installed in time for the show.

I ordered and installed the CyberGlow in February but I've been traveling internationally only just returning late last week. Installation was easy (the YouTube video is a must watch before installation). The white light is the same brightness as the original (well because it is an original with additional LED's and controller). The colored LED's are bright and everything can be adjusted via the controller which has many preset display modes. I have not had a chance yet to create my own animations, but I've done similar ones on projects at Burning Man.

The literature is quite complete including:

1) While the Tesla lights can be on with the CyberGlow also on, the display becomes washed out by the white light.
2) It is illegal to use CyberGlow while driving on public roads and of course daylight running lights are required in the US. That said you could turn off via the Tesla screen the lights and run just the CyberGlow - so this does work off-road or at shows.
3) There are two remotes - one turns on/off CyberGlow (comes with two of these) while the other is card shaped and runs the colored LED displays.

This all worked perfectly after the quick installation. The website has videos of several of the displays, but once I have a chance to program sone new ones I'll post them here.

Is it worth the cost? It is expensive, especially if one does not send back your original lightbar for credit. But for myself I really enjoy the displays - they really light up and entertain after dark parties and camping. So I am very happy with it.

Going forward Tesla is looking at adding "automations" which "may" allow just the white light bar to be switched off (leaving on the daylight running lights and offering the CybeGlow lites to shine with the white light wash out). In the end everything on the Cybertruck can be programmed like a smart phone through software. But also like a smart phone one doesn't want to have software create operational problems.

What?! That’s utter BS. Can’t tell if this a staged review or you’re just misinformed about what is about to happen to you. How do you ”turn off via the Tesla screen the lights and run just the CyberGlow - so this does work off-road or at shows”?
Please be specific. Show a picture of the screen where that can be done.
Also, how do you know what automations Tesla is “looking at”?
Mine did not come with anything other than the little silver on/off remote which restarts the module that resets itself every time it’s turned off. Zero literature with mine and no manual light-show remote. App control only. Kudos to cyberglow for improving that.
Are you on the most current software? I’m on 2026.2.9.1 . In this version, Tesla just rendered my bar useless other than to run simultaneously with the whitewashing light. Even when “leave aux power on” is checked, the bar and module turn off with the car and reset. This was not the case prior to he update.
Cyberglow, I need your help fixing or completing this bar or I’m sending it back. I was very happy with it when it first got here and was one of your first customers. I’ve also been singing you and your products praises to everyone for a good long while now and it’s way too expensive an item for me to just eat this problem and pretend it’s working because It’s not.
Please don’t tell me to leave my car in camp mode again. That’s an unacceptably high power draw with other undesriable effects like complete lack of car security and wear and tear on the climate control. That is not what was advertised when I paid you for this bar. It is not a solution.
I have been nothing but forthcoming and patient throughout our transactions, but I currently don’t have particularly nice things to say about how you handle after-sales problems. Why are other people getting a different package than I did and why is mine no longer working but other’s is?

Caveat Emptor. I don’t advise anybody buy this lightbar until this problem is addressed unless you want something that either acts as an expensive paperweight or subtly colors your factory white drl while you are driving.

No this review is real, I did purchase and install this in February as noted. And these were my results. What I am talking about is the standard Tesla Lights tab on the control menu, at the top you can turn front lights on off or Auto (which is usually what everyone uses). But when using the CyberGlow I turn those off and then start up the Cyberglow LED's so that only the colored LED lights/scenes are displayed at the front of the CT.

Mine came with two of the silver key-chains to turn it off and on, and it also came with a credit card sized, multi-button controller for scenes and programming.

I'm on Tesla OS 2026.9.1 now, just updated as I had been traveling internationally. So I'll have to see what this update has done to CyberGlow. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm not affiliated with with Michael or CyberGlow, but in my experience he as been very responsive when I had questions. You can email him at [email protected].

I remain a fan, and have seen nothing else quite like this for the Cybertruck.

thanks for responding. I’m also a fan as you can see from my previous posts. Just upset about the recent change and new inability to use the light coupled with “just use camp mode” response. This is a real albeit new problem that affects a very expensive product he sells.
I see your point about the headlight switch and that’s smart use. I’ll give that a try when I’m back at my car but I suspect the aux power will still turn off.
Don’t know why I didn’t get the little remote. Maybe it’s a v1 vs v2 thing.
Michael, if you’d like to chime in here, this is a very frustrating new problem I’ve been unable to solve and I’d appreciate it if you would help me address it and not blow it off.
I realize you have no control over teslas software development but like I said before, I strongly discourage anyone from buying one until it’s solved.
I’m entitled to that opinion.
