You aint hauling unless your truck knows your hauling.

Will say the recent update really made the warning system a baby, had maybe 2,500 lbs in there and it was crying there was to much weight.

Thankfully it was an RH Outlet so I got them for 50% off.
lucky you!

My “live edge” dining table and chairs were definitely not 50% off. I’d love to be able to blame my wife, but it’s not her. I don’t mind buying heirloom pieces at heirloom prices.

Turning the money into things that you value/make you happy … that’s what the money is for! It’s the same reason I bought my CyberBeast.

1. If you know what you’re looking at, you know what you’re looking at.

2. It’s worth it.

3. You’re going to attract some haters. (Most of them are just jealous.)

I hauled away some firewood, the top half of the tree I picked up a couple weeks ago:

I fit the entire tree in two loads, except for a few branches under 2 inches in diameter that I didn't want. This time the truck didn't warn that I was over the rated limits.

I see this as a good thing. Tesla provided it as a free update to all owners last Fall. It "cried like a baby" when I overloaded the rear axle beyond it's rated limits. This is the load that did it and those three 200+ lb. rounds on the tailgate are what did it :

Even though I knew I was over the rear axle limit before the truck reminded me, I would rather have confirmation from the truck, than silence. It didn't make obnoxious warning sounds (just a short chime every couple of minutes), it also put a visual warning on the display. It's a good reminder to be careful on speed bumps, potholes and to limit speeds.

What was very welcome was how level the truck rode, even when the rear axle was overloaded to such an extreme state. It also showed that the tailgate is plenty strong. I bet I would have required six trips (vs. two) to move the same tree in a Slate truck (if they ever release it) without damaging it. A Silverado would have been more over-loaded with three trips. I don't want to keep a trailer around for the three or four times a year I need to haul heavy loads so payload (and rear axle) capacity is important to me.

Interesting I got the visual warning but no audio.
I had right around 2,350-2,550 in the bed, but with tailgate up,no passengers, and maybe 150lb of gear in the truck.
Guess I am going to have to try harder to get the audible warning :)

Not published, I wonder if the tailgate rating is the 750lb allowable via the ramp accessory or if it is higher? How many bumps you hit with that 600lb on the tailgate, makes me think the rating of 750 is probobly accurate or on the lower side!

I probably had closer to 830 lbs. on the tailgate and I don't think it even stressed it much. I weighed one of the rounds at ~230 lbs. (they are about 90% the density of water). I was VERY thankful for Easy Entry mode to get the tailgate height down.

Yea, can't imagine having a jacked up F250 when unloading or loading 80lb bags of concrete in the bed, maybe when I was in my 20s but not now.
800+ on the tailgate while driving is impressive.
