Tesla out of Austin called and said the RN number was too old to use, they refunded the $100
This is very concerning, and the first I've heard of this. Plenty of people (including myself) used their old reservation to order the SAWD version back in February. I also got the loyalty discount applied. Do you have any more info on this? Sometimes the SAs just say things with no actual data to back it up.

Got some great news yesterday (5/21). I received a call from the delivery manager at the Irvine location, and he told me they just received orders to replace the entire battery pack on my Cybertruck.
According to him, it only takes one day for the new battery to be delivered to Irvine, and the actual install takes about four hours.
He scheduled my pickup for next Friday, May 29th. The battery isn't arriving until late afternoon today, which means they won't be working on it over the long holiday weekend (Saturday–Monday). They’ll likely get to it Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm guessing he padded the timeline to Friday just to give them some breathing room and hopefully under-promise and over-deliver. With any luck, I might even get to pick it up a day or two early.
Still taking all this with a grain of salt.

A full battery pack replacement? Yikes. If that is the case for all containment holds, that’s a big job, let alone coordinating the distribution of the full packs to all SC’s. Maybe that is why some are hearing late June. I’m in the Midwest. There are two CT’s at my SC in containment. One is mine. Maybe I’ll get lucky and not have to wait another month.

Given that there's already an issue with the vehicle before delivery, I'm wondering if it's better to just cancel and re-order to avoid getting a truck with issues later down the road. I'd love to have it before a summer camping trip, but also ok without it to get a better truck.

I also called, and the delivery center said it is a battery-related issue and that they have already received the order. However, they said they don’t know the current progress and did not provide any further details. The service at the Riverside delivery center is really poor.

Kudos to Tesla actually did a good job on catching this through their quality control before delivery, but they did poorly on effective coordinating with local SC on prioritize fixes to these trucks. Yes I know it sucks when seeing people ordered later already got their trucks. If they will honor the 3.99% if I cancel and reorder, I might do it too.

by the way, it’s still a new truck and they can do wutever they want to it before delivery.

Nope :).
Hopefully that means mine will be delivered without having to be taken apart and put back together ;)
