Ordered May 3rd delay after delay

So my lease on my MYP is up at the end of July. To prepare for this I ordered my next Tesla, a Cybertruck Premium on May 3rd. It originally told me July/August delivery. Then when checking in with the AI Assist in the Tesla app it got pushed to late July to late September. Then it moved to late July early September. Now it’s mid August to mid October.

Are there manufacturing delays going on? Are leases lower priority? It’s also frustrating because lease rates have gone up by $100/mo and I’ll have to pay the newer price because of the delays.

Yea I’d never lease my self. Works out for some not ideal in my situation. 70k miles In First 2 years I’d owe 50k just in mileage overage lol. Don’t trust the AI assistant that’s a WAG. You would be better off messaging service (while different department) and asking them about it. Ai is there to keep you content and answer basic questions.

Yeah for me it works out since the cars depreciate so much and I like having updated vehicles. I don’t go over the miles, I mostly work from home.

I was told the AI Assist was the best way, I’ve tried reaching out to agent but they haven’t been helpful usually giving me same info.

On the terms thing, if you locked in credit approval and terms before 5/4 close of business you should get the earlier terms; I say because my 4/18 order was placed and they messaged me on 5/4 in the am that if I got my stuff in that day the deal would be honored. I did.
I also sold my car based on original eta, still have no VIN, and latest eta is mid-July.
