I have a water softner in my home with a bypass to outside spigots. When washing my cars I used the softener for my last rinse. No spots from minerals and no need to towel dry. Hope to have same result when I get my CT.

Softener good. A resin filter that gets a reduction of total dissolved solids even better. Get even crazier. Water ionizer.

I used an Ionizer that a friend had for his "super cars". Pretty cool.

Nice. My well water is full of iron and other crap. I have a 5 micron filter, then softener, then hexoflora something or other, then it goes to the house, but even still the water ruins toilets and shower glass. and ruined 2 cars before we figured it out.

I setup a RO/DI system for washing cars years ago. Water comes into the RO system about 112 PPM TDS, leaves about 4 PPM, then after the DI system comes out at ZERO TDS. I can wash a black car in noon sun at 100 degrees and zero spots.

water is stored in a 80 gallon bin then I use a well water pump to feed the hose, to an electric pressure washer. Works pretty well.

Here in South Florida we have many pockets of high calcium in the water and some areas have iron, for me washing cars and water spots go together. It’s mandatory to have a water softener here because of the calcium, but that’s not enough here to take the spots off a car when you wash it. After water softening we have to have deionize water for the final rinse I had to purchase one D ionized system for final rinse. It really does make us a difference in the final wash.

Only wash one a month since applying Pan-the-Organizer’s 8-year Ceramic. A quick front Tec582 spray to loosen the bugs and 5-min dry MF towel wipe of the rest to remove the black road dust, quickly restores a fresh washed look!

When I do wash, soft water & foam canon followed by Tec582 sprayed over the water rinse and a Costco MF towel wipe down is all it takes. Spend less time on it that I do the wife’s painted Mod Y.
