Gen 3 Tesla Wall Charger Launched, Now With WiFi

VtoG is not too easy. Perhaps the easiest way is just to connect an extension cord to the plug in the bed of the CT and run it to your refrigerator... https://www.wired.com/story/no-you-cant-power-your-house-with-your-electric-car/

AUTOMOBILE names Cybertruck Concept Car of the Year

OK... point taken. Brutalism in architecture refers to buildings commonly constructed of concrete with simple planar dimension. However, the author writes “brutal” not brutalism. The medieval Latin meaning of the word brutalis is savage or stupid from the Latin brūtus meaning dull and stupid...

AUTOMOBILE names Cybertruck Concept Car of the Year

My take-away quote is “Designating the styling as “brutal” shows a complete lack of comprehension as to how subtle and intelligent the Cybertruck’s designers were in defining it’s outer skin, applying the ancient Greek architectural idea of entasis...” Some people are quick to mount a gun on...

    Tesla Warthog

Interestingly the F-117 was a stealthy, barely armed jet, affectionately referred to as the “No Hope Diamond” that depended on FSD to plot course and return home.

OK, for you hoorah types who don’t like the owl, here a F-117 comparison that does not need extreme photoshop:

AUTOMOBILE names Cybertruck Concept Car of the Year

Announced at Automobile The Tesla Cybertruck Is the Concept Car of the Year: Here's Why For starters, it was seriously unexpected. Dec 31, 2019 Polarizing objects are things you either instinctively love or loathe, no middle ground whatsoever. Tesla's Cybertruck is about as perfect of an...

    Toyota recalls thousands of vehicles

Imagine the outcry if Tesla recalled this many vehicles. Thank Elon, we don’t have to worry about fuel lines ⛽.

    Tesla Warthog

I fail to see the similarity, either conceptually or stylistically. When CT was first introduced the comparison was made with an origami owl, and I think the comparison is more easily justified:

    Broken windows? Yes please

It was interesting seeing the difference between carbide tip and stainless. Thanks for posting this. I will say that I’ve been driving cars for 54 years and have used seat belts a lot, but never had to break a window. I guess one time could be enough!

    Will we need a jack...

Not sure about load range and off road specs. I do know that RFT are often special order, even from commercial tire stores. Ask our guru Google-Ananda.

    Will we need a jack...

I’ve used RFT All Seasons for the last 6 years. They are great for peace of mind. Never had a flat! But there is a downside in reduced tread life and range.

Cybertruck size comparisons against other vehicles

Thanks for this. I found truck comparisons the most relevant, as far as the rest go - my CT sure will be easy to spot in a parking lot!

Article: Love it or hate it, Tesla’s Cybertruck is revolutionary

Maybe you have some advice for me on VtoG. Here are my thoughts: 1. Tesla apparently does not offer bi-directional charging (unless you count an extension cord from the back of a CT) 2. We have solar panels and Tesla Powerwalls, but they don’t help much in the winter except as reserve battery...

Tesla Cybertruck: Is it daring or dumb? Design experts weigh in

Let’s not give too much credibility to the opinions of two drunk stoners, a FMC washout designer, and establishment professors. These “critics” obviously lack vision, and find inspiration boring. Someday in the future there will be a show at MOMA and the CT will be parked on the ground floor...

Article: Love it or hate it, Tesla’s Cybertruck is revolutionary

Michael, good article, although I have to say that I have read so many these days like this the differences are starting to blur. Here are some topics that might excite future writing projects: Renewable energy generation with wind, solar, and hydro; solar home vehicle charging; battery electric...

Ultimate Tesla critic, Bob Lutz, finally gives company its due

Yes, I agree, ,Lutz cannot possibly understand the Tesla aesthetic because it is so future oriented as to be invisible to him. Tesla (and Elon) is not “normal” but exceptional.

Corrosion resistance in Cybertruck may not be perfect

Wow, thanks for comments. I guess that the ubiquitous salt on upstate NY roads will always be a problem. I’ll try the sealants. I still have my doubts about restricting oxygen to passive layer with wrap or paint. What do you think?
