  1. Towed a 10,400 pound generator today!

That’s 140mi absolute range, more if the return trip is downhill. Was there elevation gain to the destination?
  2. Brutally Honest CyberTruck Review: 2 Months & 4,000 Miles Later

Great video. DIdn't I tell you the sideswipe wasn't a big deal? ? Did the person hit you because they were distracted by the Cybertruck or what? You raise an interesting point about the truck being overpriced right now at $100k. I couldn't tell if you're talking about $80k AWD plus $20k FS...
  3. CT being used as a Daily Work Truck

You know what's funny to me is when people say the CT can't be used as a work truck because you can't reach over the sill near the cab. Meanwhile I see lifted trucks all the time where you can't even see into the bed. Yesterday in fact I saw one with one of those bed tool boxes in back. I've...
  4. My first off-road trip in Cybertruck (Southern Utah) -- high speed runs + rock crawling

Did you bring any recovery equipment? Would you in the future? Thinking about getting a winch?
  5. What the heck happened to this Cybertruck?

Grabbed off of Instagram, I have no idea wtf the guy is saying. I guess the Cybertruck is Bay Area-resistant but not Bay Area-proof.
  6. 1st Off-Road trip in my Cybertruck - Takeaways & Experience

I regularly take my Model S out to areas without cellular connectivity, and I have problems. The phone app does not work unless both the phone and vehicle are connected to wifi at my destination. Because there is no key card and no phone key, this means if I accidentally lock my key in the car...
  7. Cybertruck bed mattress solution - EXPED 72"x25.6"x3" air mattresses + BougeRV 2900 BTU heat pump

I’m not surprised, it seems like they would seal those ports for noise isolation. Idk what you saw, but in todays Munro Live underbody video, they pointed out a white fabric used for that purpose. Maybe it’s the same? .
  8. Cybertruck bed mattress solution - EXPED 72"x25.6"x3" air mattresses + BougeRV 2900 BTU heat pump

Great sleuthing! I'm familiar with those types of vents, but I didn't know that is where they typically reside in pickups. Have you considered putting something in the cab to detect airflow, like a fragrance or smoke/fog? I wonder if air will have an easier time coming in around the tonneau...
  9. Cybertruck bed mattress solution - EXPED 72"x25.6"x3" air mattresses + BougeRV 2900 BTU heat pump

There is an existing route for air to move from the cabin into the bed? This is news to me and opens up some possibilities. Got photos or a source? If you want both dryness and warmth, it seems like a very small electric (not hydroscopic) dehumidifier might do the trick. Something like...
  10. Back-and-forth between Cybertruck (tri-motor) and R1T (quad-motor)

CT won't fit tires any larger than what they already have. The limiting factor seems to be clearance on that bolt coming down from the suspension knuckle (or whatever it's called). You'll also have issues with rubbing even if you figure that out. Speaking of which, forget about doing your own...
  11. CYBERTRON Cybertruck Build ($30K Aftermarket Upgrades)

If this is what you need to scratch your itch then great, but I think this looks like a movie prop. It's try-hard, while the standard CT looks like it just landed from from another planet. I'm guessing the decals and business name let the owner write it off as a business truck, which is the...
  12. PowerShare install price / value

Interesting about the supercharging option, is there a source for that? One of the reasons I didn't pull the trigger on CT FS is because I can't make use of the Powershare (though I'd like to if I could). I don't think 12 months of free Supercharging sweetens the pot enough for me -- I just...
  13. Cybertruck bed mattress solution - EXPED 72"x25.6"x3" air mattresses + BougeRV 2900 BTU heat pump

I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes! I hope one day they make a window slider for the CT so you can get HVAC passthrough. For the record, here is my snazzy setup:
  14. Tire rotation @6k miles seriously!??

I have a warranty with my tires at a major chain and they rotate for free but expect you to come in every 5k mi. The manual (Model S) suggests 6,250 mi. So 6k mi. is normal And for something heavy, with expensive tires and a lot of power, it is wise to rotate properly.
  15. 1st Cybertruck teardown video! … and it’s not Sandy Munro (by Caresoft instead)

Yeah I thought it was interesting that Tesla didn't dummy proof it. Since you'd be able to fit the scalloped hinges up front (since the mounts are interchangeable), I wonder what keeps them from doing it. Could be a cool ("cool") and easy mod to have 90 degree front door opening.
  16. 1st Cybertruck teardown video! … and it’s not Sandy Munro (by Caresoft instead)

I don't remember where I heard it (I've watched WAY too many CT videos) but I do remember the second steering motor is for redundancy if one fails. But (and again I can't remember where I heard this) the truck gives you a short mileage to pull over before it stops running. Like five miles or...
  17. 1st Cybertruck teardown video! … and it’s not Sandy Munro (by Caresoft instead)

"Caresoft has begun its benchmarking teardown of the Tesla Cybertruck and invited Autoline in to see the first stages of the process. Terry Woychowski, the president of the company, points out some of the highlights of the 4-wheel steer-by-wire system, the 48 volt connectors, the battery pack...
  18. Got the invite to configure, but...

If you can’t because you can’t afford it then obviously you must wait. But if you can’t because you can’t bring yourself to pay that much, but maybe you can if you stretch, well I’d advise driving one to see if it scratches that itch for you. If it does, then ask yourself if it’s worth waiting...
