PCS failure rates by year...is it just a matter of time?

I hope everyone in this thread will go sign the petition. I ironically was an early signer and was following a similar thread to this before mine went out.

PCS failure rates by year...is it just a matter of time?

No, I used them very rarely and only the 110VAC with light loads. Not at all in the last month. Never used the interior outlets. Plugged into the home charger every night, with a scheduled charge to 80% except maybe once per month when taking a long trip, set it to charge to 100% on those rare...

PCS failure rates by year...is it just a matter of time?

I was considering the same idea. They have offered me a $67,700 trade in on my 2024 AWD (25K miles). But then this past Sunday my PCS failed. Scheduled to be fixed next Tuesday, so I guess I'm going to hold on to it, until I have a really compelling reason to replace it.

PCS failure rates by year...is it just a matter of time?

You basically described my situation. "AC Charging Failure" this past Sunday, two days ago. 25K on my 2024 AWD. Drove to the SuperCharger 13 miles away, yesterday (Monday), didn't work either. Earliest appointment available next Tuesday, 60+ miles away. CT is parked in low power mode hoping...

    Insurance Companies Cancelling CT Policies?

Must be a GA thing. My State Farm (MS) was just renewed effective 4-8-26 thru 10-6-26.

Confirmed: $59K Cybertruck Price Will Increases After February 28

My preference as a rental was a MX for years, but my wife didn't like all the attention it got even in CA. She preferred the MY. Little did she suspect how little attention the MX drew compared to the CT.

Confirmed: $59K Cybertruck Price Will Increases After February 28

I did see that ETA has moved to October, but I'm not sure what the ETA for the first orders was.

    Used prices holding steady

Wow! That got me looking at what my CT might be worth. And 76 -78K seems to be about the average price. That means It has only depreciated $2-4K. That is pretty amazing.

    Garage parking your Cybertruck?

I just use the front bumper camera to judge one to two feet in front of the back wall. Since it gives a great view of the floor as well as the wall. The CT does scream a lot about me getting too close, but I'm OK with it being overly cautious.

Cybertruck p c s failure needs to be covered under the drivetrain warranty!

I wonder what an economic analysis would show if you knew the odds of the PCS failing after 50K. It might be cheaper to trade in 24 or 25 model for a used 26 than take the risk on the expensive components failing. I'll probably hit 50K in about a year and a half. There should be some...

Cybertruck p c s failure needs to be covered under the drivetrain warranty!

It is arguably part of the powertrain though - which is what the petition is about. Note that Tesla has already tacitly admitted it should be covered under an extended warranty, but has excluded the Cybertruck. (Source TeslaNorth.com) "According to new warranty documents, Tesla is introducing...

Latest FSD Driving me nuts not going the speed limit

Speed control has gotten worse. I long for the days I could just set the correct speed for the road and it would lock in. Now it frequently goes less than the speed limit even if conditions are perfect, goes over the speed limit when the conditions are bad. I'm constantly switching between...

    FSD 14.2.2.2 wackiness.

I'm still getting dry wipes at home in the South East just about every trip. No dry wipes in 4 days of driving in CA.🤷‍♂️

    FSD 14.2.2.2 wackiness.

You basically got in my head and transcribed my latest experiences. The tailgating and waiting forever to actually change after signaling has basically banned FSD when my wife is on board now. Her tolerance for driver's ed is much lower than mine. 😅

How Good Is FSD 14.2.2.2? I Test It For 1,000 Miles In A Tesla Cybertruck

It is great - most of the time - for me. But I agree with the inconsistent speed. Sometime the routing is crazy and heads in the opposite direction of where it should go. This is true in my local area. Drove a rental for 4 days in San Francisco and it never made a mistake. I only helped it park.

CyberBeast LightBar Saga: Third Time’s the Charm!

I hear you. On my personal designs I always require a mechanical fastener in addition to glue, but you do realize that the windshield on most vehicles is only held in place with glue?

Nice illustration. This is what my case looks like.

    FSD and Railroad Crossings

Maybe it was a fluke because it turned on to the road as the gate was lowering. I usually turn the other way to avoid the crossing if I see a train is coming or the gate is closing. I may see if I can actively seek out another test. My office is just across the tracks, so if I don't avoid...
