Craziest thing to remember is he's got a sponsor on his video. Likely paid for a pretty substantial amount of the truck. Now the video he made has 19 million views, likely paying well over a half a million in adsense revenue. Now add on merch sales too.
It's a business for him.
Hey all! I know the WD video is two weeks old, but I wanted to shed some light on what actually happened with that Cybertruck casting and how it managed to end up broken.
Hope you guys enjoy the video, hope it also reminds everyone that the internet is simply a fun place. in reality, there's...
There's a connection point beneath the compressor if I remember the diagram right.
We obviously know the extender goes in the bed. We know it goes against the wall. I'm not sure what point people are trying to make here?
So, I think people are kind of overthinking this.
The extender simply bolts into the bed. The bed wall panel removes, the cable plugs into the HV penthouse... it's done.
It's quite heavy though, so definitely a more "permanent" install, but it can be removed again.
Totally agree that there is a path Tesla is taking to a mass affordable truck, but that is relative to market and I think $10-15k per trim isn't crazy.
There's no specs changing anytime soon
Don't think so, not quite yet! While they've made a breakthrough I don't expect any volume of a dry cathode pack until late fall
hahaha not quiiiiiite. They made this pack before your truck ;)
But yea, nothing an end user will really benefit from. Cost...
I grew up pretty beneath the poverty line here in Phoenix. Very grateful to have my kit. I would get in trouble for drawing DW kits in elementary school! haha wild story.
No I worry about wheel covers....
