FSD v14.2.2.2's speed controls are absolute trash. No one wins. People who want absolute speed control don't get it. People who want "intelligent" speed control instead get a random number generator for the speed limit.
I just completed 300+ miles but gave up on FSD for the last 100 because I...
Since Robotaxis are still geofenced, they probably use a model that's focused on their area only (no need to handle international-style lanes/signs/etc. or anything that doesn't exist outside of that relatively small area they drive in).
First time I’ve seen Sentry Mode on while the truck was asleep (2025.44.25.5):
UI glitch or reality? I thought Sentry Mode prevents sleeping (naturally). Maybe there’s a lower-power state now with Sentry Mode…or maybe it’s always been there and now they’re indicating it.
Mine was stuck downloading at 38% (9GB downloaded). After 3 hours like that (and not quitting and going to sleep), I restarted the truck. Now it’s “downloading” with no percentage and almost zero network activity after an hour. Luckily this is just the download phase…doesn’t give me much...
Exactly. Ford was trying to convert die-hard traditional truck owners to electric. That plan was a failure from the get-go (those customers are clearly afraid of anything different or new). Ford half-assed it like they did with all their other electric conversions. The Lightning was the worst of...
I'd be giving myself the middle finger if I bought an F-150 or Tacoma :) .
FYI: The people giving you the middle finger are the most miserable, media-controlled people in America. They don't really hate you—they just lack the intelligence to understand anything...why let them bother you?
Same versions for me.
PowerShare: 25.26.0
UWC: 25.34.1
One minor thing I noticed in the app is that there used to be text under the home name (upper-left corner) that read "Plugged in, backup ready" but it no longer has any text under the home name. My CT does show the bidirectional power icon...
The FSD stats is there to encourage people to use FSD more. Tesla is gamifying it. Our society is obsessed with one-upping each other on social media so this will definitely speed up FSD mile accumulation.
I've had this happen on left turns, too. It'll time it perfectly but then begin stuttering the middle of the road with cars approaching. Only thing I could do was floor it and take over.
Set it to park on the street at your house. Once it is about to park, switch to driveway and it will back in. That worked for me, but it’s a hack and needs to be done every time (at least in my case).
My bad—I used confusing terminology there. I wasn't referring to the software stack; I meant "end-to-end" as in: From my driveway to a parking lot spot [without touching pedals or steering wheel].
My truck just auto-sprayed the front bumper camera (twice). This is the first time I've ever noticed it. I just got FSD 14 yesterday so maybe it's related.
Has anyone seen this auto-cleaning behavior prior to FSD 14?
I was manually backing out of my driveway when I heard a pumping noise. And...
I tried end-to-end FSD for the first time today and I was flat-out amazed. I have a pretty big driveway and it self-parked in a pretty logical spot, too. At the restaurant, it perfectly backed into a spot between a car and a curb—and did it in one maneuver.
I didn't use FSD much on v13 because...
The apps (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) don't need a phone; they use the vehicle's cellular data plan (so Premium Connectivity is required due to the higher use).
The "basic" audio can use the phone to stream music via Bluetooth. But apparently Bluetooth doesn't have enough bandwidth to reliably...
CarPlay uses both (Bluetooth for handshake, WiFi for data). The client (car) operates basically as a dumb terminal so that's why higher-bandwidth WiFi is needed (the phone is essentially streaming its display to the car...which is how Apple can completely revamp the interface if they wanted, and...
