I think I’m going to try out the eBay one for testing purposes even though I’ve got a UP one on order. It’ll at the very least answer some questions and can always resell it on offer up. Someone will buy it.
Many owners report that their “new horn” (the one that uses the PWS) is not loud enough.
Does anyone know if it could be amplified?
Is the PWS speaker just a regular speaker that’s in a weather proof box or is it something more intricate?
If it’s modeled after the UP one, which it looks to be. It is the same size, just made in metal Instead of plastic. The additional addons that attach would protrude further though, but the bumper by itsself does not.
True, I hope they are able to ramp up production and delivery. I know there’s been a few mentions on the forums here of people still waiting on delivery and I bet plenty still waiting to order. I just recently ordered my bumpers from them while on a trip out to California. I was able to stop by...
This one is made from VERY thin sheet metal, you can see it in the photos. I would not be too concerned with the lack of protection from a crash due to the fact that the Tesla ones are plastic and are not much protection. The protection comes from the frame that you can see in crash test videos...
These are an exact replica of the Unplugged performance ones. Very interesting, seeing that they get there’s shipped in from somewhere and are not made locally. I wonder if they come from the same supplier.
They are not purposely lowering the screen, it’s a byproduct of the swinging mechanism. It needs additional clearance and the way the mount is built does it. I’m not an engineer so I don’t have a suggestion on a different design, but the reason that they are all lowering it is because all...
I’m sorry to say that Taptes will not cut through laminated glass. If your Tesla is older than 2021 you’re fine, if it’s newer then that won’t help much.
I too am trying to decide between these two tires to replace my OEM ones. My biggest consideration is how well they perform in wet weather as I live in South FLorida were it can rain really dam hard and rain performance of a tire makes a big difference to staying on the road or sliding off into...
I’m in south florida and very interested to know how your tires perform in the heavy rain. Does the tire still stick to the ground under hard take off and cornering?
Here is a more cost effective tool that should work equally as well. I like that lifeline tool, but damn, at $200, it’s a bit steep. Then again, I understand the age old questions “how much is your life worth?”. I am just providing a solution for those that don’t want to go $200 in on a tool...
