Interesting - because that's not true with the other models.
In the other models - if you disconnect the 12v battery and remove that connector from beneath the rear seat on the passenger's side - That battery pack connector instantly opens. I've done it many many times on my Model 3
I'm...
No, I'm not removing the pack. I'm swapping out the steering wheel if I can.
I've seen (word of mouth) that there are 2 connectors to disconnect
1. Blue one - to keep the auto steering reset from occurring.
2. Red one - MV disconnect to keep the Center hub from moving.
However, there...
Ok, so the Cybertruck only has a single step process instead of a 2 step process like the other models.
What do you mean by - remain open?
Do you mean that they will open?
Understood.
Does the MV power procedure disconnect the High Voltage Pack?
In the Model 3 - disconnecting the 12V low voltage power ( MV power) does NOT disconnect the Main Battery Pack. You have to also disconnect the wire from the penthouse to open the contactor from the main battery pack...
How does one fully power down the Cybertruck? (Please avoid speaking about the power down button on the screen).
Simple.
On the Model 3
1. Remove 12v battery cable.
2. Disconnect the Connector under the passenger's rear seat (opens contactor in the penthouse)
Done
On the Cybertruck
?
It will reset when the Pyro opens and closes again.
It's a known issue. The South Loop Service Center in Chicago had my car for 3 days and couldn't find the problem. What a waste. I just live with it.
To whom it may concern,
If you are installing a replacement steering wheel from any 3rd party vendor - PLEASE READ BELOW.
PLEASE PLEASE follow the instructions provided by Tesla.
Steer-by-wire steering wheel replacement is totally different than any other Tesla model. If you don't follow...
Why in the world does anyone believe that adhesive would keep anything stuck to a front windshield for the lifetime of the product?
That is the most weather beaten - wind torturous - expansion/contraction part of any vehicle (car, plane, train, etc.).
Name any other double adhesive product...
Same thing happened to me with a 3rd party light bar. I don't believe there is any type of double adhesive tape that will last forever on glass with Chicago weather ( -32F to 100F ) year after year - rain - wind - snow - ice - etc. -
With wind speed at times over 80+mph (65mph for the truck...
I've had the buttons for a long time on my P3D.
Multiple commands with a single button...does not always work.
I tried a single button for multiple commands to go through the car wash. (car wash mode +) and it works most of the time....but not all of the time.
