Have you tried tightening the straps while the tailgate is closed from the inside? I don't have this problem

Are you able to put a mtb on the tailgate shield while having the crossbars on the tail end of the truck? Currently have this set up but need more area for bikes.

I’ve also had the latch replaced and all that jazz. Seems like the problem is if it is not frequently used then it’ll “stick”

I definitely did. I explained I was prompted to do so. They requested that it would only be relevant if it came up multiple times within a two week period.

I got this alert which prompted me to take it into Tesla service. They are saying since I only got one alert and it didn’t show up again, I may be charged the hourly diagnostic fee if they don’t find anything? I’ve never had this happen with my other Tesla vehicle. Is this common practice?
