FWIW, my windshield looked like all of the other horrible pictures that people have shared. I was in the SC yesterday for a gearbox fluid service error and I talked to the advisor about the windshield/wiper problem. At first they were skeptical, but then he did a couple tests where he cleaned...
This isn't coming from a place of jealousy or hate, I just don't know enough about air compressors. Is there anything about this Tesla setup that would outperform what I got from Amazon for far cheaper? Maybe theirs has like 3x the power and I just don't know how to tell.
$200: 900W air...
Adding in an update for now and anyone coming across this in the future...7 days on the dot and my error magically vanished this morning. Quite confusing to me...I have been checking coolant temps and my front motor (the one with the error) had regularly been reading much hotter than I would...
It's funny you mention that. I have noticed the exact same thing, but I have a tendency to over analyze every sound and movement anytime I've ever owned a car and there is a error or check engine light, so I dismissed it thinking I was just being crazy again. It's butter smooth like normal until...
Appreciate the update. Sorry to hear they have had it for so long, that's a huge bummer. Selfishly - I'm glad they said it's not being replaced for the fluid service error ? I take mine in on Thursday and hoping for smooth sailing.
Good points. Didn't know Franz said that. Bummer though! Steer by wire is one of the most incredible things about the CT. Maybe some day we will get it on other models :)
I'm a little disappointed in the absent CT tech in the new MY (my dream was this would be refreshed with steer by wire). Was looking forward to this refresh to get one for my fiancee, but surprised at how little has been updated. I know this is incredibly unlikely but I'm still (naively) hoping...
Just did that same 8 min test...was up to 130C on front unit right when I opened it. Seems toasty...and double the rear unit. Lot higher delta between the two that what yours showed, but mine did get the coolant loop up to 33.
Mongo, just so you know, you are the best. Thanks for always helping out!
I do have an AWD. So the front motor might just be getting so hot to heat up the pack? I was just worried that it got that hot that fast in 5 or 10 min driving ~45mph. Made me a little uneasy about taking it on a ~500...
Well - I had a service appt scheduled for the 16th and they are going to take a look at it. They said mobile service wasn't an option. I had my fingers crossed it was just software, but after a 5 or 10 min drive my front drive unit temp is significantly higher than rear so I fear I might...
Gotcha. If you don't mind could you keep me updated on what they say about it? Also, do you know roughly how many miles you drove on it after the message popped up? I'm supposed to go on a 500mi round trip this weekend and now quite stressed about it ? lol
Anyone have this error? I searched the forum and only saw results from over a year ago, so posting to see if anyone has new info. I'm in the midwest where we just got slammed with snow, so have been driving in some 5-6" snow and ice buildup. Hoping I didn't do any damage beneath the car and that...
I'd love to try these out. Have actually been shopping around for some and haven't found any compelling enough to buy over OEM. I have several items ready to get put on the panels!
Something like these?

I really want to do something like this and have been toying with the idea of tape, these, magnets, etc but each seems to come with a problem. Are you worried about a residue being left on the plastic trim?
Wow! I think I'm sold. Seems like the perfect set up. Will have to get that compressor and probably pick up one of those dividers as well!
Somewhat off topic question for you and anyone else who has experience - I'm dipping my toes into the off road world now that I have this truck. I've gone...
