That works - and if handle is not long enough, many of those types of devices have a "screw off" handle that can be replaced by a 4-foot, 6-foot or even 18-foot (LOL) handle -- I have several with standard screw ends that I usually use for painting, changing lightbulbs in double-high ceiling...
