I get it. Drove a model 3 for an hour the other day and it took a while to recalibrate.
What I notice is not the initial wheel movement, but once the steering wheel turns more than let’s say 30degrees. The extra movement needed to turn the vehicle takes a bit to re-map.
I just drove to Houston with that design and lost two of the center caps. I might play around in CAD and put a design together that would retain them better.

The problem I brought upon myself is the plastic trim around the wheels and especially below the doors are pretty eaten up. If you plan on doing what I did, you might want to invest in some PPF before you take it off road.
