THIS is my problem with Tesla: PCS repair cost from those reported on this forum out-of-pocket have been north of $5,000. Someone on the forum has reported Tesla states PCS repair will be $1,000.
Tesla, lacks consistent messaging - other than they are inconsistent. When owners have to deal with...
..It's not because you driving a Cybertruck...it's because your a bad person...;/
PS: Just after the election - I was flipped off at least x6...I live in California 'The land of fruits & nuts'
I am also on android, samsung. I have not had that issue, I do have in the last 2 software updates, a long delay 1 in 3 times unlocking the CT with phone in my driveway.
I've noticed odd connection issues, very long time for the phone to unlock the doors, a spare key does not work anymore - and will not reprogram.
Long delays on navigation - however, I commute so my destination is not new - perhaps it is caching my previous destination.
I understand I can disable low-power mode. And most all of us EV owners understand nearly all the cars functions - come from the battery power.
So it's unnecessary IMO after the first prompt to keep informing me that climate control uses power.
Also, the remote climate/unlock is a convenience...
This is one of my issues with Tesla - very little to no documentation.
When you encounter a 'deviation' between your expectations and something your Tesla does or does not do - you don't know if it is a problem or you don't understand the feature.
You go to the forums - where results may...
I agree and disagree with some of this. Tesla has not gotten ahead of this problem. period. And all these owners posts about how the failure propagates, and how Tesla varied response across the US is a further indication that Tesla HAS NOT GOTTEN AHEAD OF THIS.
There are people at Tesla [any...
[Pun]: I installed mine, buy placing them in the ceiling storage of my garage. Once installed, I noticed NO change in range, and NO wear on the tire sidewall.
I disagree, As I am paying for the charge [I do not have Free Charging] I can fill my tank as I determine.
Also, this limitation is somewhat 'random' in that one does not know when the 80% limit kicks in. Or where. or even what time of day. I've had the 80% limit occur where less than 20% of...
The 80% is reported as 'Limited' by the 'charging' station - not the dashboard charging menu.
You *might* be able to charge higher with a congestion fee - ~$0.5/ $1.00 per minute with a 5 minute grace period.
However, Tesla is quite capricious in their stated policies and only consistent in...
FYI: I have actually tried putting my CT into 'Tow Mode' before connecting to Superchargers, and they still impose 80% and congestion fees.
As for living in CA - it's definitely the 'land of fruits & nuts'....the base of those working here are conservative, quite and keep their heads...
It is from my experience in Orange and San Bernardino county, in the past year the super chargers declared a 'congestion' fee in addition to limiting the charge to 80% 'as set by the charging station'.
PS: there is LOTS, LOTS and LOTS of Tesla's in Orange County CA, you see about 3 in 10 cars...
I would like to see Supercharge station limits lifted to 100% when your CT is in towing mode.
I am in So Cal, where there are numerous supercharge stations - all which limit charging to 80%. That range loss should be enough reason to increase the limit for towing.
The monstrous instant torque...
PCS Warranty: Also, the Tesla general warranty is not very clear that a replaced PCS has its 'own' warranty. Unlike a battery replacement which has a 10 year warranty.
From my reading, a replaced PCS warranty is under the vehicle warranty - and does 'not' extend the PCS warranty to 3,5 or any...
IMO: Getting an Lemon Attorney involved will not really help in 'solving' or expediting the repair. Here in California - with a strong clear lemon law. Attorneys will start THAT process = Buyback, as that is the ONLY way they get paid.
They don't get paid [other than by you] if they push...
My advice, is keep the loaner. Offer to Tesla that this is the 'best' scenario as 2 month repair would/does trigger lemon law in most states. NICELY state 'you are protecting them' and yourself from protracted process triggered by your vehicle being non-operational for weeks.
I am in...
