    I only use credit cards and have never paid interest on them ever, since my first one 16 years ago. I received the 1.99% a couple weeks ago. This is the way.

    Yep this. So you donā€™t have a deep or rich enough credit history. Sometimes it isnā€™t just the score or being debt free. Itā€™s how long and how big of a loan youā€™ve had in the past that will help you in the future.
