Elon has pretty clearly defined what uFSD is. Many times. If you would like I can put in the research time to give specific examples.
Edit:
Example #1, 8 months ago.
Question: "Full self driving level 4?"
Elon: "Unsupervised self driving, you do not need to pay attention" - He then confirms he...
That is not how I understood that court decision. The judge was talking about how Elons statements were forward facing and not statements of current fact. Meaning Tesla is still on the hook eventually... just not right now.
Edit: I dont want to get into a legal argument, but its pretty clear...
The people who bought a Founders Series Cybertruck at the end of 2024 were offered free supercharging for life. Those of us who bought at this time are the smartest among us (I am not one of them).
Free supercharging has always been an insane offer, and I am amazed it ever existed at all. I...
I am no lawyer, but I have heard it stated before that a company is liable for promises a CEO makes. A quick search will show you dozens of times that Elon has made the promise that all FSD purchasers would get unsupervised FSD when it is ready. Here is what Google AI says about that:
Not long ago Elon was saying the future of the company was riding on FSD working. Now they sell less and less cars each year and no one is licensing FSD. The future looks grim, its riding on non-existent products coming to market. However I am sure the stock will continue to go up.
The link is not working for me.
EDIT: Clicking in the gray/white box area works. Clicking directly on the link inside of it (x.com/i/article/2014...) does not work for me.
It seems like a few choices Tesla (Elon) has made lately are explicitly to help Elon reach his compensation goals. They do not seem to benefit the consumer or Tesla.
Removing Autopilot (this puts the vehicles at a disadvantage to the competition)
Removing paying for FSD in full (fewer buying...
I have the same issue. It is compounded by the fact that at 2 years of ownership the adhesive on the bottom seal is failing. So water is now entering in more places than just this gap.
I ordered a new automotive door seal based on another post in this forum, but I have yet to install it. Its a...
I got the Shocker Air Trailer Tongue Mount and a cheap Home Depot ball hitch in the truck.
Pro:
You can still open the tail gate
You don't have a huge hitch when not towing
Reduced stress on the truck and trailer
Cons:
It's attached to a single trailer
You need to fill in the air pressure...
Considering Tesla insurance is not the lowest available rate in my area, I wonder how low lemonade can go. Tesla already has FSD data and should be the same exact model as what lemonade is proposing.
Personally I've stopped using the big brother spy apps that insurance providers offer for a 10%...
Yeah but that is only Tesla that removes FSD. Gives them a chance to double-dip and sell FSD on the same car twice. Private sales, or non-Tesla dealerships will still have FSD attached to the vehicle.
Yeah that $1200 defies belief. Maybe it was good will pricing? The part itself is listed at $1,900. It is the largest windshield in any production truck I believe.
I agree with you, but a subscription is already an option and people are not taking it. Why would removing an option for purchase increase the take rate? I dont get it.
Part of Elon's pay package goals include achieving 10 million active Full Self-Driving (FSD) subscriptions sustained over a three-month period. This change will help him reach that goal.
I would like to see the math on how a cancellable subscription is more profitable than prepaying 8 years of...
PPF and plain vinyl are very different. There is no additional maintenance with PPF.
I dont understand how everyone considers the SS so easy 🤷‍♂️ . For me I was dealing with the follow issues above just a standard painted vehicle, that a car wash wouldn't fix:
* Bird poop stains
* Hard water...
Congrats on the CT!
I recommend a DYI PPF wrap. It takes about 8 hours of your time. Its extremely easy with all flat surfaces. It costs under $2000 DYI, most shops will charge $6k-$7k. Make sure you go PPF over plain vinyl.
I bought from and recommend @TWRAPS twraps.com
It looks really great, and at 120k its not a bad deal considering what you get. I am building out a RV trailer right now and my cost of materials is getting close to 50k without the generator, off-road suspension, torque assist and remote control. Adding labor and R&D and the asking price isnt...
