Solar Cover, Lightbar (Hella), and Cyber Shop Confirmed for Cybertruck!

Lightbar seems pretty ugly to me. for a variety of reasons. You might want to put it on for only special occasions. I can see some kind of genius attachment method which makes it easily removable, and then a place to easily and safely stow it off the floor of the bed, or maybe above or below...

Total Solar Eclipse in Austin Texas, Apr 8, 2024 at 1:37 pm

The Annular Eclipse is in sixteen days. Saturday late morning out west, and Saturday early afternoon in the east. Austin is just a few miles north of the best line to be on. Seems like a good time to roll out some CT's. What do you think? Will they surprise us during the Eclipse? Will be...

Giga Windshield Wiper BAW closeup look 💧

At least for snow accumulating while parked, i don't see this as much of a problem. For light snow, it's no big deal and 90 percent of the time you'll be clearing it by turning on your defroster with your phone. For heavy snow, you have to clean it off by hand before you can think of moving...

    3mm stainless steel - wow

I've been calling for someone to do the coin test for three years. I'm tired of speculation. Call me after someone has done the coin test on an actual vehicle.

Franz breaks out Cybertruck for Cars And Coffee @ Petersen! Driving & closeup! Tonneau!

I'm gonna scream here! NEXT TIME SOMEBODY GIVE IT THE EIGHTY-TWO CENT TEST! Keep two quarters, two dimes, two nickels, and two pennies in your pocket. Which combination is the closest to the stainless steel thickness? Hopefully it's possible to find an edge and measure in several places.

If Zuckerberg hurts Elon in a fight will CT get delayed?

Which is the better analogy? Bonaduce vs Williams or Bonaduce vs Osmond? You figure Zuckerberg has to be Bonaduce, kinda funny looking, creepy, just asking to be beat up.... But is Elon supposed to be Williams or Osmond? I think Elon has to be Donnie Osmond, but I can't put my finger on...

Giga Windshield Wiper BAW closeup look 💧

Yeah, I knew I was getting into the weeds there, what do you think about the quietness? as there should be no spots where the blade is squeezed too hard against the glass, like on a curved glass surface.

Giga Windshield Wiper BAW closeup look 💧

I suppose a bi-directional motor with some type of controller/sensor setup would be possible when there is no need for linkage between two separate blades. However, a linkage does allow the reversal to happen quite simply and reliably, even with a single blade. The fact that it's being used on...

Giga Windshield Wiper BAW closeup look 💧

What I'm worried about is... During the heaviest rain, that thing will have to be moving at 1000MPH. And it's heavy. When it's flying one direction, then slams to a stop and moves back in the opposite direction, the gears will push themselves out of alignment. It seems like it needs to be...

Cybertruck bed rack / tool rack + accessories (shovels) first look! 🧰

I wholly agree with Skilledroy. There must be a MINIMUM of ten feet between the front and rear rails. Twelve would be much better, but for some people, that still won't be enough. Don't need a CyberShovel. Years ago I ebayed a few genuine Russian Titanium Shovels. I tell people.. "800 years...

Cybertruck “not a real truck” says survey among truck drivers

A "truck" carries objects and a driver. A "car" carries people. Until you remove the back doors and seats, the CT is some kind of hybrid between the two that we don't really have a name for. When I was in the Army we called it a "Staff Car" I swear to dawg I'm ripping the back seats out of...

    Emergency Broadcast / Disaster siren

I'm pretty sure only broadcasters of the emergency signal need to participate in monthly testing. Not receivers.

Cybertruck roof rack for work..... to carry long lumber on top or plumbing pipe

I just don't see how a CT is going to replace this functionality I have today. These homemade racks are now on their fourth F150. They went from an '89. to a '99, to an '08 and now on a '17. All the one inch square tube steel parts are from a 1910's's bridge demolition and were in the Ohio...

Cybertruck roof rack for work..... to carry long lumber on top or plumbing pipe

Sorry, i didn't see you had mentioned launch night, making my last post somewhat redundant. Also, i've got another Optic Delusion. The way the lowered tailgate has triangular corners can make it seem like it is lowered slightly below level. Or, is the tailgate a little narrower narrower at the...

Cybertruck roof rack for work..... to carry long lumber on top or plumbing pipe

That original Tesla roof rack image was shown on the screen behind Elon, at the CT unveiling event. It's a screen shot. It took a couple weeks for people to figure out there was a roof rack there at all. Looks like it may be a sail-pillar-toolbox image. If you see a similar image that seems...

Cybertruck roof rack for work..... to carry long lumber on top or plumbing pipe

To safely carry a long load, you need the distance between the rack's front and rear bars to be a minimum of half the length of the object being carried. The longest load I plan to carry is a forty foot ladder. A forty foot ladder in it's down position is approx 20'6". Meaning I need the rack to...

Cybertruck roof rack for work..... to carry long lumber on top or plumbing pipe

Could you show a pic of these slits actually being used as attachment points? I'd like to see how a CT roof rack might be designed.

Cybertruck roof rack for work..... to carry long lumber on top or plumbing pipe

Ah, i was thinking the square near the back was another button for activating the vault door. Didn't see the square further up. They make the little slits up by the glass seem extra narrow, and I'm still not sure the slits are really meant to be attachment points.
