I would ask the dealer what is the best way to make the PCS fail so you can get it fixed under warranty. Have you asked if they would replace under warranty anyway? I would hate for the PCS to fail after warranty and they tell you that its going to cost $6000 to repair.
Like the title of this thread says, "PCS Failure- Can't charge at all" I wasn't kidding when I said I couldn't charge at all. It's interesting that the SC keep telling us to go to the supercharger. Like we haven't done that... I think the important thing here is to make enough noise about...
Signed the petition. I definitely believe in the squeaky wheel concept. I think we should do as much as we can on all platforms to get some attention to this. Petition, NHTSA, X, etc... pick your choice if not all and let's make our voice heard.
Unless there is a recall, l doubt the dealer will replace a functioning PCS. But that's where I say you have to put in your 2 bits and argue with them. As for ongoing PCS malfunction, I would think they would have fixed it or they really open themselves up for lemon lawsuits. Had I known that...
I just found out today that the dealer will not fix the car under warranty but is charging me $3100 for the replacement of the PCS. This is really upsetting. We should not have to pay these repair costs for something they know is a faulty product. I encourage everyone that's had this happen...
That’s terrible. $6700 for a faulty part that the manufacturer knows about is terrible customer service. This is the type of shit that will turn fans into haters. With all the different issues that the CT has had, at least they were fixing them as they went through recall or warranty. But this...
I’m sure they fixed the problem with the PCs. I can’t imagine they would want to do this again. Besides that would open them up to lemon law issues. I still think every CT owners bombarding the service department asking for this to be replaced immediately might lead to a voluntary recall. If...
I just had this happen to me. My service
Hi Dustin,
So I just dropped off my CT at Buena Park Tesla for the PSC replacement today. My CT has 56,000 miles. Just like you, my advisor first sounded like it would be covered under warranty but then I got a quote for about $3700. After letting...
I take my CT into a car wash 2-3 times a week. As long as nothing snags, you won’t have any problems. Water will get into your vault, but that’s not an issue. I think most owners over think about cleaning. I’ve tried some of the expensive sprays and can’t tell much difference. I don’t have any...
The problem for me was when I took my car in, the mechanic could not find the problem and the car ran perfect. The pictures just reinforce your issues along with your description of problems. i think mine was one of the first with this issue. In my case, they couldn’t find anything but I took...
It’s something that you have to do at some point. Sooner the better. The best thing you can hope for is that they can find it early. Tell them it’s the abs module. Hopefully that’ll be all you need. I’ve owned my CT for 13 months and have almost 36,000 miles. This was the only REAL issue I had...
I too have most of these issues at some point. Mostly hugging the left. It seems that the update has done more harm than good. I guess the only good thing about all of this is that knowing it’s not a “my car” thing. It’s universal and will be fixed. Hopefully soon.
Tesla, you listening?!
Nice review. I will try these for my next set. I recently got the Tesla winter tire package. The Duratracs are good, but I only got them because I needed to use my credits, and getting a complete set of rims and tires for about $600 out of pocket sounded real good to me. IMO, the duratracs are...
Congrats and welcome to the family. I’ve had my CT for just about a year, on my second set of tires(wrangler duratracs), have over 31,000 miles and loving it.
Btw, after reading my post, I see it can be confusing. To clarify, I have a total of 3 to sell. I think they would be great for anyone wanting a spare tire.
