    Pet Safe Door Locking Tabs!!

Yes, we actually have crates for the cats when in motion. It’s like a cat condo in the rear seat. Two stories, six compartments and a tunnel to the litter box. But when we stop to charge we let them roam inside the truck to eat and play. That’s how we discovered the door open button issue! ?

Pro tip: don't open your door over a bench and then lower the suspension

We have all been there once or twice… thanks for posting the reminder!! ?

    Pet Safe Door Locking Tabs!!

Certainly could! This was a quick print done for us while in town during a long road trip… so the design could be refined, but the functionality is great!

    Pet Safe Door Locking Tabs!!

Yeah… our cats can open the front doors EVERY time we stop with them in Dog Mode. We discovered there is also an alert that basically does an impressive light show when the door button gets pushed while in Dog Mode. ?

I tried to post a video but it’s not working. My CT is in service for a rear motor inverter replacement but when I get it back I’ll post a photo. Sorry! ??‍♂️ oh, here’s a still photo from the video. ?

    Restraint System Error

Also, note the date and time when you see the message for Tesla service. They often will require this to begin diagnostics. ???

    Pet Safe Door Locking Tabs!!

A new Cybertruck friend we made in Seattle 3D printed these cool tabs which keep pets from accidentally opening the doors while in Pet Mode. while Pet Mode does disable the window switches, the door open button remains active (because you wouldn’t want to trap a person inside the vehicle!)...

    Cybertruck “Slow boiling Frog” moment

You can see it that way, sure. I have driven mine 20k miles and the experience is unlike anything else on the road. I don’t even drive my M3P anymore… Would def buy it all over again. ??‍♂️ But if the prototype-to-production reality upsets you, go find something you like. ?

Parts flying off - bed top surround!!

Yes, it’s a recalled item. I would follow the advice in this thread and secure it from flying off until your service appointment. ?

Tesla is upgrading the Cybertruck’s electric motor on some Cybertrucks

I noticed yesterday that Tesla had added a service line to my upcoming appointment to replace a drive unit. I figured I must be in the group to get an “efficiency upgrade”. (VIN 1391) HOWEVER, Just now on my drive I got error messages that the “rear drive unit is disabled. OK to drive. Schedule...

Can’t control what others will do… but it’s also useful to communicate the realities of product quality to other owners n the forum. I don’t fear speaking honestly about a product I love… and to the company I own a lot of stock in when I know when they can do better. ??‍♂️

    Tactical Grey Interior: Just YES!

Yep. Totally agree. Saw it in person at a CT meetup. It’s tight!! the white is nice, too… but if I were buying today, grey all the way!! Plus, it matches our seat stitching. ? Kinda think it was the default interior before the white “upgrade”. ?

Cybertruck Ride Comfort on road trips (vs Model X / Y with air suspension)?

Oh… the charging speed will eventually be VERY fast with v4 800v chargers. For now, it’s not that much slower to charge up than my Model 3P. ??‍♂️

Cybertruck Ride Comfort on road trips (vs Model X / Y with air suspension)?

I have over 20k miles on CT now, including several-day road trips. It is an EXCELLENT vehicle for road trips. Best overall vehicle I have ever driven. It’s going to be EPIC with FSD, but it’s still super easy to drive manually for long stretches.

Cybertruck Ride Comfort on road trips (vs Model X / Y with air suspension)?

Nope! I’m 5’9” at 165 lbs and the CT seat is NOT as comfy as the Model 3/Y. Those seats are the crème de la crème.

Great idea! I’m not familiar with Gafers tape… available at a Home Depot or Lowe’s? (My thought was to rip the other side off and put some silver accents on the innards so it looks like a dystopian circuit board for effect!) ?

Parts flying off - bed top surround!!

yes, there is a recall but the SCs I’ve been to keep pushing off the appointments due to lack of parts. Now I will need a whole new part instead of just new adhesive (which is what I believe the recall covers). ?
