I remember JD and Elon laughing at the announcement that Porsche was going 900 volts and Elon's comment was that you would then have to worry about arcing happening. Not sure what other weirdness people are talking about when volts go over 600.
I remember talking with the original Amiga...
I don't know what a bobber is, but my first and second dream bike was a Kawi cop-cycle. The later gen from the 80's had the full body fairing and both had 1000cc's and an all day saddle. I went cross country in the latter. Then I got the 90's Honda Pacific Coast that had the clamshell seat with...
Why is everyone talking about this drone footage as though it were flown by hand? It make MUCH more sense that the drone was programmed to fly as the assembly line moved. It could then loop back to the beginning and do the same shot again with the next car or panel piece.
It makes no sense...
I have spent several nights in the car with the environmental systems running to keep us warm, I usually lose about 20% at the most overnight, even in severe cold. If I was concerned about battery I would turn down the air and rely more on the seat heaters, and a warm jacket and boots. I rarely...
That is an interesting point. I have an RV based on the Sprinter and to keep the crazy overhang from being a problem the engine, 26 gallon fuel tank, and the 50 gallon fresh water tank are all located around the front wheels (plus driver and maybe passenger) and yet lots of Sprinters with less...
Side cameras are on ALL Teslas
I have seen people ask if there are solar panels on the roof as it is so dark but there are pictures where you can see the seatbelts on the rear seats thru the roof glass so no panels in there.
Just hold the right thumbwheel and say "turn on wipers" or "my butt is cold"
The SHALLOW angle of the windshield means the reflection is just that dark grey near the front of the dash. The white would not be in the reflection in front of you, probably would be above you.
Just like when electric cars came to market the fire dept. guys had to learn new tricks. I don't think anyone is worried about rescuing people inside, the thing floats, has no gasoline to burn, and is bullet proof. Sounds like you are safer inside.
Not sure how door handles make a difference...
The problem with Turo is your geographic location may not support the traffic you want. Someone looking for a car isn't going to be able to travel very far to get it. The people who seem to be making the most money with this service are the ones with many cheap reliable cars all out earning...
I am not sure they will be very valuable, I got two reservations for the TM3 thinking I could help pay for one by selling the other, but with the rebates at the time, it just proved too difficult to roll them over to a new owner and you couldn't sell your reservation so I just got my second...
So you say that you get murdered in Portland for having the wrong colors...? Seems like that would be in the news.
Seems like a reason to have a cT in the first place. You don't need a gun if your vehicle is powerful, fast, and bulletproof.
I am curious what the original poster was asking. If you are trying to get 300 miles of range on a car with an EPA estimate it is definitely possible. My 70 MPG Honda Insight has given me 93.5 MPG on long trips of about 900 miles on a single 10-gallon tank.
BUT, can I MAKE the car get 70 MPG by...
Or failing to:
I still think Elon MUST have a trick up his sleeve. With such a wide vehicle it may be that there is a charge port on both sides of the final vehicle (the 500 mile one anyway). This allows you to take TWO spaces at the supercharger and instead of charging for an hour and a half...
