Impressive trucks, but ridiculous pricing. And to think that they probably won't make a profit, even at those prices, is crazy. Hopefully the CT ends up being more affordabe!
I'm wondering if the vehicle has a glovebox. Many of the passenger-side airbags deploy out the top of the dash and deflect off of the windshield towards the passenger. With this windshield configuration, the airbag may need to deploy out of the space where the top of the glovebox would...
Good eye!
It is possible that the different prototypes have slightly different parts on them. The one vehicle may still have the dash cluster in front of the steering wheel that caused so much commotion.
Great pictures, and some good discussions.
The comments are always interesting. You can almost tell who does and doesn't currently have experience with Tesla vehicles. To me, this interior is very similar to the other "lower cost" Teslas (M3 & MY). The lack of an additional screen in front...
Bickering amongst ourselves won't make the CT arrive any sooner or make it more affordable.
In the spirit of this thread, we should be thinking about what options each of us would like, in order to make the vehicle our own. Some things that I'll be looking for will be how to add a 2nd display...
This post definitely strikes a nerve with me. My pockets are not that deep, and I have already lost a great deal of value on my Model 3 due to the recent pricing games.
We should revisit this when actual pricing and deliveries start. At that time, we may need to start a thread on "Now that...
To the OP: very nicely done!
One side benefit of the rear glass angled in such a way is that it should minimize the night time reflections of the dashboard screen. This can be a real PITA in some pickup trucks. Then again, I think the inside rear view mirror will be a camera feed, so it may...
Sadly, many newer developments boast having 2-car garages that are in reality ~1 and a half car garages. I expect that I'll have to park in the driveway and either relocate my charger or find an acceptable extension cable and route it under the door.
IMHO, a vault similar to this could be very useful, especially since the CT will most likely not fit into a regular garage. This could result in people installing outside charging stations. A vault, or something like it, could keep the equipment from being screwed with.
The line sounds like it is nearing completion. While it would be great to get a CT as early as possible, I would prefer that the factory gets a few thousand under their belt before I take delivery. Start of vehicle production, particularly a new design with unique processing is almost always a...
Is it possible that the only reason Elon talked about a quad-motor was because the Rivian had recently come out? Remember that when the R1T first debuted, it was supposed to have tank-turn capability. They must have problems with it, since they never enabled it for the public.
