After the four day drive we did recently with heavy rain I will continue to purchase the KO3s (or replacement model) going forward. We...
Replaced the stock AT tires with 24,545 miles. Running BFGoodrich KO3s now, have just over 9,000 miles on them now. When I rotated them at ~6,700 miles they still had between 18 - 16 32nds. Was going to check them this coming weekend after the next leg of our trip.
I love driving the truck so much that I will never have anything close to 100% self-driving. Highways on long road trips I love it but when we get to our destinations for 3-12 days I have to drive :)
Do other car companies cover these things? Seems strange to me that any car company would cover damage from something like a giant pothole or off roading. The pothole damage would be considered road hazard which as others have said would be covered with insurance.
I’m not sure how it can be fixed with software. The rain running in front of the camera simply triggers the motion part of Sentry mode. I say that not having any knowledge on what can be done in the code.
Over 2,000 on FSD 14.1.7 over four days with an entire day in some crazy heavy rain. Drive drove 98% of the miles including parking at some of the chargers. FSD version 14 completely changes the vehicle.
Okay finally got home to test version 14. Absolutely the best version so far on the Cybertruck. It gets up to speed quickly and keeps the speed. Like others have said, Mad Max is wild. I was doing 14 over the speed limit on the freeway. In very limited testing it really feels like something...
Have read a number of people saying the Blizzaks are great winter tires. I was looking to not have winter and summer wheels/tires for the truck so I went with BFGoodrich KO3s about 6,000 miles ago. This will be my first Winter with them, did get some good rain in on them already and they are...
Can confirm with what others have said. AWD here with 5,163 miles on KO3s with mostly long road trips making up those miles, 75-85 mph, and the rear wear faster for sure. Will rotate them before our next (soon) ~6,500 road trip.
Had to get new jack stands for the truck anyway (the old ones for the Model X didn’t have the height) so I snagged four of them. I just put the entire truck on stands. Never have more than two tires off at a time and not for long, makes it really easy to follow the recommended rotation pattern...
I use to rotate in the spare as well well when I had the stock tires. When I got the KO3s I decided to not rotate the spare in. New plan is to put the spare on when I buy new tires and make one of the current wheels/rims/new rubber the new spare. Should work out to keep the “spare” rubber from...
