Relooking at this, I would prefer raising the height only about 2 inches.

I just decided to have him cut the bracket to look like yours. I didn’t want to have to leave in the middle of the project. I hope it works! It only took him about 7 minutes instead of me working on it for hours and needing a trip to the ER.

What dimensions did you make your notch? I have a friend who can do it for me and the dimensions would be super helpful

Well it would absolutely be better if it didn’t need surgery. But I wouldn’t hold my breath for a fix coming soon.

What did you use to cut the metal? I’m game to try! And what dimension is the cut?
