I have been wanting to make this for over a year. It sits atop the virtually useless OEM charger (at least for my iPhones).
I tried using it with the silicon cover but the magnet barely sticks. Still in prototype form, but it works!
It would be really great to customize what alerts go where and what color. For instance when on FSD it’s blue and when at first disengaged it blinks red, etc
I installed the swivel screen and I really like the end result
But without cutting the bracket as shown in the previous post, it would be absolutely impossible without risking damage to the connection port.
One thing I noticed was with the screen a fair bit closer it actually does seem lower...
I just decided to have him cut the bracket to look like yours. I didn’t want to have to leave in the middle of the project. I hope it works!
It only took him about 7 minutes instead of me working on it for hours and needing a trip to the ER.
Printed! This is way good! Thank you! Clicks in perfectly when I remove the silicone cover I have. It fits in my glove compartment too. Thank you!! I’m inspired to make my qi chargers for the OEM charger (toaster) slots!
one of my trials was wrapping the entire mirror and wires in foil. I found there was a positive increase in signal but not too much difference from just adding foil beneath the beauty shield. Really, it could all boil down placebo effect and observer bias, but I do think there was some positive...
The Sentry mode toggle/deep sleep seems to have worked for me. While I was here, I conducted some generously described as “experiments.”
I wrapped my Hansshow digital wire monstrosity in copper tape in hopes of shielding any interference to the GPS , wrapped in aluminum foil, both… and just...
I have the same issue with the GPS. I cannot be sure if it coincided with an update but it prompted me to move all the Hansshow digital mirror wiring from beneath the beauty shield to my external 3 D printed “ugly shield” (said with pride). I thought I had solved the GPS issue but it came back...
I received a sample of this product for evaluation.

After a week of evaluation, I find that it offers some very helpful use cases in my everyday life. The two retractable USB-C cables charge and supply power and there is a 120V outlet and a USB-A and USB-C port . We...
I installed the original Hansshow digital mirror. Love the view. Hate all the wires beneath the beauty cover. It made it hard to remove and replace the beauty cover and I was always worried about GPS interference. So I quickly made a 3D printed “ugly cover” for the unbelievable amount of extra...
Last week, the screw ended up in a Kleenex box. Believe me, that was the last place I would have thought it to be. Subsequently, I lay towels in the center console area.
Well. I cleaned the windshield and applied rain x and thought I was golden! “The glass is so clean!” Went through my mind as I got a dry wipe after being on FSD for 10 minutes. I wasn’t driving into the sun either. Disappointing for sure, but still seems improved after cleaning under the
I like it! From personal experience I would worry about the longevity of those tabs (given how small the horizontal surface area seems to be) I’ll probably add some reinforcement.
The idea is great since the OEM charging area really wasn’t executed well for iPhone users like me.
I often...
