I already had a gateway because I had power walls so it was just the charger that had to be installed.

Currently if you only have PowerShare it activates. The software for PowerShare, Powerwall, and Solar won't be done until sometime in 2025. It is printed on the Tesla PowerShare website. It seems to be a recent change because I don't recall seeing 2025 there before.

It has to be a Gen3 wall connector to have the bidirectional power hardware.

Probably none. My understanding is that the speakers are connected by etherloop so there is a controller and connection to the Etherloop that might make replacing the speaker difficult.
