Why is it that itās so hard for me to get excited about "available later in 2025"? Because they seemingly always miss the published date, thatās why.
PowerShare was a huge selling point for me because I need more backup than what a pair of PWs can provide without going into full camping mode...
Guys, I have a related PowerShare question I hope someone can answer.
My charging system (see photos below) was installed by a Tesla certified installer & it became operation in November 2023 before we could even order a Cybertruck. And as evidenced by the app screenshot below, it is also...
I guess my only concern with removing the tow hooks is that the tow truck driver now has just 1 option and depending on the orientation of the truck it could be very difficult extracting it depending on the situation.
This is probably a poor example, but I think it makes my point. Say youāre...
Iām curious about one important thing. How will a tow truck driver load the Cybertruck onto the flatbed without these tow points? Or do you think youāll never require the services of a tow truck notwithstanding all the posts to the contrary on this forum?
Yes. It worked for me when driving to Central California from Olympia, WA on 8 March in our MYP, but I havenāt been to a SC since then. I will head home Memorial Day weekend & will find out then if the charging costs are still applied to my PowerShare credits.
I recently drove 800+ miles from Olympia, WA to Stockton, CA & the cost of all 7 of my SC stops were charged to my Tesla PowerShare credits.
My suggestion is to check your Tesla wallet & if the PS credits are shown there, then stop by any convenient SC and give it a try to see if it works...
Does anyone have any idea if this can be a āsame dayā turnaround, or will we have to leave it overnight?
I'm assuming overnight but thought Iād ask anyway.
Thanks for the tip & placing a wheel chock is something my wife can easily do herself too since she always goes with me when launching & hauling back out.
I have a true story you folks might enjoy reading. I apologize in advance for its length though.
Knowing that I had purchased a Cybertruck, the married daughter of a friend contacted me a few months ago to ask if I would mind giving a ride to an exchange student her and her husband were...
I took delivery of my Cybertruck late July 2024 & got stuck with the one time use $2500 credit and just sat on it waiting for the Tesla store inventory to stabilize.
Then, in December I got an email telling me that my one-time use credit had been converted to the multiple use kind & that the...
I wholeheartedly agree those extension ācordsā should never be used at a SC, any reputable company like Lectron should include a clear notification that it should never be used for that purpose. The primary reason being that their cable would probably melt due to the current being pushed by the...
This is concerning to me because the boat ramp where I will launch our pontoon boat this year is steeper than the one in Ventura and I havenāt used my Cybertruck for that purpose yet. Also, my wife is strictly an observer when launching or hauling out as she refuses to both drive the truck or...
Hereās a link to a new thread just came out that you need to read.
https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/powershare-update-home-backup-enabled-for-solar-backup-switch.37453/
Per Tesla "
For Customers Without Powerwall
For homes not equipped with Powerwall, a Universal Wall Connector and Powershare Gateway will be required to use Powershare Home Backup.2"
Gosh. Youād think that if itās really that important for those of us who also have solar that Tesla would have included that notification on the "LEARN MORE" page.
And for the record, I havenāt received that email either and my PV/PW/Gateway/UWC system has been operational & shown on the Tesla...
Please clarify what software you are inquiring about. Cybertruck, SoLarEdhe, Tesla app, etc..
And for clarity I should add that I too am still waiting for the PowerShare update so I can use the Cybertruck for whole house backup too. I contacted the PowerShare team last week & was told itās...
I also have a 3rd party inverter from Solaredge &
I also have a 3rd party inverter from SolarEdge & as you can see my REC PV system was producing 2.5 kW when the screenshot was taken.
