Short of reminding every single front seat passenger how to properly open the door, so they don't use the emergency door handle that is in the most CONVENIENT PLACE EVER to use. Has anyone found a solution or sticker or something to place on this?
It's honestly in the best place for an actual...
24 hours into ownership, I had:
- suspension failure
- Tonneau cover failure
- camera failure
Literally rendering my car useless. And their response? "we'll see you in a month, sorry it's busy"
So I feel you ? we knew it was going to happen, but it still sucks.
I've driven multiple H2 hummers, got a ton of hate, got keyed multiple times (actually caught one on camera and he ended up getting multiple felonies cause he fessed up to 7 others lol). All because "it was bad mpg", when I was getting 10-12.... Which was the same as most trucks at the time...
I have a very unscientific experiment with it.
Drove one way with it close, drove back with it open.
It was like 10-20% more battery usage (almost all highway driving).
There's probably someone who's actually tested this though ?
Yeah I took it in a few days ago.
1) tonneau cover seems to be fixed (the sensors were off)
2) suspension issue was related to paint on a wire causing fault connection (fixed)
3) had rattling on the driver side, was some issue with the window or something (fixed)
4) had trim pieces that were...
I'm still salty about the major issues I've had (and Tesla's MAJOR lack in getting them fixed in a timely manner. I shouldn't have to wait a month to fix faulty suspension/tonneau cover/cameras/basic truck functionalities). But I've had the option to trade it off for a 570s, Cali T, and a few...
Wow.... Hey east they got you in early!
I had the suspension problem and tonneau issue day 2 of ownership, and they told me to wait a month! I still haven't gotten in. Just lucky the suspension issue resolved itself or I'd be SOL.
Sorry you're also dealing w shit, but be glad you're at least...
Used my wiper for the first time this weekend due to heavy rain. Noticed this damage near the motor on the glass when drying it off once home.... Gotta say it's not overly promising to see this after one usage...
Also my prndl selector has started to rattle a bit.
It's painstaking to see honestly ? I did every restart possible, waited an hour, restarted, power cycle, etc.
The magic was waiting 2 hours then showing it off whilst explaining some "minor" issues I'm having. And then Tesla was like "crap we gotta have a good showing!" and made sure it worked ?
WELP I let it sit for 2 hours while I was in a meeting, got out of the meeting and they wanted to see the truck (of course xD). They asked if I had any issues with it yet cause of the news stuff. I explain a few gripes but overall love the truck.
Get in. Truck raises perfectly, tonneau cover...
Yeah unfortunately 95%+ won't have the same issues. I just have that lucky side of me that gets the most bizzare/rare issues ? had a 17 camaro ss that the top has an issue they never solved....literally 9 months consistently of being in the shop they never figured out and just took it back lol
"quick" lol my appointment isn't till June 5th...so I'm unsure if I should even drive the truck for the next month. Tesla isnt answering me if I can or not ? they did "escalate" it though.
Camera fix was about 2 hours, I assume 1-1.5 of actual work.
I've even requested other sc's if it gets...
I forgot what the exact setting was (did this before my meeting) but this is the error that is provided.
I did a power cycle twice already to see if it helped.
