I read with Ford and now GM joining Tesla qualifies for a good amount of federal grant money, hopefully to expand the supercharger network and add more drive through stalls.
I guess whether it's Rivian or EA doesn't matter at all as long as you're forced to use someone else's network while away from home the risk will always be there.
I wonder, coming from an ICE driver, how many Tesla drivers out there have to use non-tesla charging stations? I'm sure it's not...
Yeah, it could work if you take days in between. And I like the idea of pass-through electricity. Another also is just find a 3 prong splitter. I’m sure they could share.
But it’s really not good when you need to disconnect the trailer for a charge
I’m sure this is also a problem for Rivian and will be for everyone, but are we going to need to disconnect anything we pull everything time we charge the CT, especially considering you back in to charge.
I imagine for S3XY cars pulling something now you need to do the same, but they typically...
I may have responded a bit aggressively above. I don’t disagree with the safety implications, and am in no way saying it’s safer to drive with your hand on top. I’m simply saying there are times I like to drive at 12 or 6 and don’t want to have to stop just to get a yoke steering.
?‍♂️
I guarantee you I'm a better driver with my hand at 12:00 than most people are at 10 and 2, and I'm not going to change my style in the off chance my airbag goes off (hasn't yet in 36 years of driving).
My point is the way I drive the yoke isn't good, so I guess I'll go with the wheel...
I often drive one handed (mostly straight roads) with my left hand at 12:00 or my right hand at 6:00. I think the yoke steering wheel wouldn't give me the leverage to properly control the steering. Other than that I like the yoke, but don't think my driving style supports it. Yeah yeah, when...
it's a good thing Tesla and SpaceX are the top 2 companies to work at. Hopefully they have a stacked infrastructure team to squash the next malware that makes it inside the walls
true. Too bad he can land a unmanned rocket on a platform at sea but can’t figure out charging automation. Unless it’s just a problem in my head. I don’t have a Tesla yet, so don’t know if this is a frustration. I’m just picturing where my CT will go and I think front charging would work so...
I really wish Tesla would put a charging port on the front and back. I'd pay an extra couple hundred in parts for the convenience of front or back charging, especially at the super charger stations.
thanks! I think Elon hacked my email and deleted my reservation email ?. at least my reservations are still there when I log into my Tesla account ?‍♂️
So after 3 years of waiting I wanted to see again (yeah, torturing myself) my spot in line, but can't find my reservation. Anyone that's better organized that me please reply with the email title of your reservation. Thanks!
I'm concerned because "cybertruck reservation" doesn't find it
Cool to see but the first thing that caught my eye was the huge windshield wiper. So disappointed it's still there. Every other car at least hides the wiper when not in use. I think this bugs me perhaps more than it should.
One thing on pricing I'm hopeful about is during the last earnings call Elon replied to an analyst question saying even if they sold the cars at cost (or lost money each [can't remember]) tsla cars will still be profitable through FSD subscriptions. With this I'm hoping ? they keep the price...
