Same. The passenger side is perfectly aligned. I pointed this out at delivery because there was also a piece of plastic sandwiched behind the corner, and I was told that this is just because the rails come wrapped in plastic and it was not taken off all the way. I later asked about aligning the...
This is a current photo of my driver's side rail, so I am looking forward to replacement, but on my recent service visit I was told that I may not qualify because the rail isn't loose.
I stopped by a service center on Saturday to ask about the cant rails replacement. They do not have new parts yet, but said that less than one percent of trucks are affected. Apparently the test to see if the truck is subject to the recall is to put two fingers on the windshield where the rail...
This idea worked well. I got the link kits, cut two of the mounting brackets, and assembled the light bar. It is solid. I cut holes in two of the rubber plugs that come with the bumper and ran the Y cable harnesses though them. The connectors are very easy to take apart and reassemble.

I got WARN as well and went with synthetic line to avoid the rollers. Haven't opened the box yet, as I am still messing with the lights. Looking forward to see how yours turns out
Interested to see how it turns out. Do you expect to have it back today?
I am hesitant to have mine done, but I should probably have it serviced before installing new bumper and roof rack in case these mods will affect my warranty.
I like this idea. The mounting holes are too small to feed the connectors through, so I need to see if the connectors can be disassembled to feed the wires.
I also wonder if there are right angle connectors, so that the wires would run to the side rather than straight back.
Thank you. Just looking for ways to minimize downtime, as I won't have 12 hours without interruptions, and would prefer to prep what I can before taking off the stock bumper.
Looks great! Mine arrived yesterday.
Would you recommend mounting the lights before taking off the stock bumper, or do I need to swap the harness for the front camera first?
I am in IL, and vandalism has not been an issue. I had an incident with someone adding a political sticker to my tailgate while I was grocery shopping, but it was easily removable.
Personal interactions remain largely positive, with people asking about and complimenting the truck in parking...
Just had a positive experience- a woman approached me in the parking lot asking about the truck, and as we started talking she said that she really admires Elon and is grateful for his DOGE efforts. She wants to buy a Tesla to support him and is debating between the new Y and Cybertruck.
Linking was sufficient. I did not need to pay in advance, and it did not cause any delay. I was able to pay via the app at delivery after inspecting the truck, and the payment was instantaneous.
