Ironically to your comparison, a captain goes down with the ship...
I bought my FS for the lifetime charging benefit and will keep this thing on the road as long as I have fight left in me. :)
All you should really need to know is Kyle Conner's opinion on YouTube, numerous times stating the AWD is a FAR better daily driver if you can handle not having the faster vehicle. I'd recommend you watch his reviews on the Cybertruck. And remember when it comes to performance 0-60 in 4.1 (3.8...
Yep, love having it. I think the big thing they are warning about is any abuse where you are not using the supercharger energy for miles. Powering your house would be a big no no other than emergencies. I'd guess powering a travel trailer 100% of the time while towing it around would be a gray...
I too came from a MX Plaid, but went for the AWD instead. The number of times the 1020hp was useful was quite low, and aside from on-ramping the freeway at 140mph I don't really miss it for the price difference. Love having the bigger motor in the back.
2 alpha males with strong ego's and an inability to admit fault. This was bound to happen eventually. Both said things that went too far as they've both been known to do in social media. Seems completely legit.
I expect this will have a neutral effect on the hate toward Tesla's, more left...
You have any pics of the difference from clear to frosted? The one youtube video I found looks like "clear" is quite hazy compared to actual clear. Maybe he didn't remove some piece of protective covering? Or is that just how the plastic is?
I tried one and didn’t like it at all. Very unwieldy and difficult to use. Currently rocking the 4 panel sunshade in 2 sets. First set up top, suction cups, then bottom set and push against top. Takes 5 minutes or so though.
Yep about 2.5” higher. Would love if Tesla gave a way under outlets and mods to increase or decrease the vehicle height displayed by whatever amount in .1” increments.
Got it installed today, I see what you all mean on the narrow area to install the M6 bolts into the hex standoffs. Mine came with a cut off half height Allen wrench and it was still difficult to fit it in. But once done it seems to fit well and is excellent quality (metal) compared to the oem...
I have one pair of these and 1 pair OEM of the same Triangle logo... These are certainly more purple/blue and dimmer than OEM to the naked eye. If I had it to do over I'd get another set of OEM instead...
Espresso machine, fridge, blender and ice maker and supplies and you can run a full service coffee bar out of the back to make it pay for itself.. Wife keeps trying to convince me to do it…
Yep; safety and accelerating the transition to EV's is their mission so it stands to reason they'd move people to something safer than autopilot was. Ad supported FSD? Free up to a certain number of miles and pay per mile? Supervised + wheel nags on the free one? Lots of options.
I suspect a "free" variant of FSD will surface which would be better than autopilot by far. The problem is autopilot was based on a old stack never written for the cybertruck which is a large step in the opposite direction than they are headed. So... I bet after this free year is up a free...
