Another update…the error disappeared by itself today on my drive home from work. Everything works as expected and still loving the look…I’ll post again if it returns.
Well…light works as expected but now I’m getting an error “Audio system unavailable” :(
it looks like this is a common error for people installing the digital rear view mirrors - fix for them is a new harness with a different power tap. I’ve emailed Tlyard to see what they say.
It doesn’t seem...
New update.
I went back and forth with messaging Tlyard about the light bar causing the hissing. They referred me to the video where the pink wire was cut but I didn’t want to do that since someone already tried it and it didn’t fix the problem.
About a month went by and I received a message...
Really appreciate your honest review. My experience is most coatings advertise way longer than they actually last. Maybe in a climate controlled garage with no UV or rain exposure would you get 3 years.
This is a new coating on a new surface so no chance those estimates are anything more than...
The questions the media should be asking is if this is the normal policy of the office to offer a diversion program when the amount of restitution is that high.
The SAOs will have standard protocols on pre trial diversion programs - and most offenders are not eligible for programs once the...
Please post back after the coating to give your impressions!
I remember watching some detailing video from the out of spec guy and he said using a polisher with barkeepers friend left more of an uneven finish than doing it by hand. Maybe this has changed from the initial video he posted?
I feel the same. Definitely has the “cybertruck tax” with the high cost.
To me Pan lost all credibility when he ranked all his CLEAN products in first place in all his cleaning awards and his buddy/distributer came in #2 in the tests. Amazing how a YouTube personality formulated the best...
There are 3 wires coming out of the light bar - black, red, and yellow.
I tried applying 12v to the red and black to ground and unfortunately no light. Also tried applying 12v to the yellow wire while the other to wires were connected thinking it was some kind of relay switch and still no...
Well that’s not very helpful if the light no longer works!
Can anyone translate what he is saying in the video?
The module that seems to be causing the hissing doesn’t look like any of the step down converters I’ve seen on Amazon. Looks more like a Canbus module. If so I’m not sure what could...
Do we know if the light bar runs on 12v or 48v? If 12v that would make sense it’s a DC-DC step down converter.
I wonder if a higher quality converter would take care of the hissing?
If nothing else, I’m considering just tapping into the 48v frunk power supply and wiring the light bar to that...
I had the light bar installed for almost a week before someone brought the sound to my attention. It’s one of those things where if you are listening for it is it easy to hear but if you didn’t know you could miss it. But once I heard it I couldn’t stop hearing it whenever the car wasn’t moving...
Yes it will be interesting to see if you hear it or not. I didn’t notice it until someone pointed it out and I was driving around with it for a few days. But once I became aware of the sound I couldn’t stop hearing it.
I isolated the sound to the little module that plugs into the harness. With...
It’s unfortunate there have been multiple reports that the light bar makes the front right lower a-pillar speaker it plugs into have a constant hiss sound, including mine.
I’ve been messaging with my seller tlyard and they haven’t been helpful with finding a solution. I really like the look but...
It looks very similar to the stock Tesla light bar. The diffuser does a good job making it hard to see any individual LED.
One interesting function is during the light show the light bar would remain on the entire time despite the left headlight going on and off with the show.
My speaker was doing the exact same thing that ShockAuto brought to my attention. It’s definitely related to that little box as plugging in and unplugging it made the sound come and go.
It sounds like static from the speaker - faint but because the cabin is so quiet I could hear it. It’s...
No fix as far as I know. I ended up taking the light off and going back to stock. It’s too bad because I do think it looked very cool but I’m not willing to sacrifice the complete silence of the cabin.
I’d say the intensity matches the stock light strip on the outside of the main beams. No adjustment for brightness.
Not sure how much install would cost…it took me about an hour. I could probably install another one in under 30 mins now.
