My advice…don’t hit a tree stump. It is pricy. While parking in the forest on Memorial Day, I can in at 10pm and hit a blackened stump. It knocked off my camera and creased the bumper…over 2k in damages.
Here is the part list.
I was thinking of ways to remember which way is which, but it really isn’t necessary. It does become muscle memory quickly and I now have a hard time going back to my wife’s Y.
If you need a way to remember, a stalk moves up to turn right and the top button signals right.
A stalk moving down...
Despite overwhelming concern for my wellbeing, the screen setup worked well and I did not end up a bear snack. I slept well and did not feel claustrophobic. I had plenty of room including open space at my head for water and electronics.
Night 1: I put the truck into Cybertent mode to level...
I am testing out for the first time tomorrow night. It is secured together by velcro and is strong enough to stick together when you slide it out. It is easier than a tent zipper and slides back in easily.
I have thought about sliding the tonneau cover back, but you would still need to move...
Action Screens in Vancouver, WA. Paul custom built it on the fly. He has a lot of experience and was great to work with. He has the measurements to make more if you need one.
I was inspired by @puchanix's bed screen cover, but wanted more breathing room...and leg room. These pics are missing the velcro connections, but will give you the idea. I have toyed with the idea of using piano hinges to fold it up and hold it all together but am starting with the easier...
I got the message I had been waiting for...my CyberTruck is ready for payment. I got it all arranged same day and schedule deliver for less than a week. Just the normal AWD version. I didn't get options like the grey interior or wheels but maybe I missed something. Any tips?
I recently upgraded my solar to an EG4 18K hybrid inverter and am adding a backup battery pack which requires a new 225 panel and sub panel. I am also awaiting the CT Foundation with the PowerShare feature. Tesla already approved me for the PowerShare with my existing system, but I am worried...
I have been doing the same...watching YouTube videos of X & Ys towing to get a better idea of what the CT will do. Here is the key difference I can see, but I don't know what real world difference it will make...
The CT is wider than the X & Y. It is already pushing more air out of the way...
What difference do you see by breaking vs coasting? I am curious because the math doesn't work in my head. If you use 100% of your momentum in the coast down to 0 mph versus recovering 30% or even 50% of it, how does it result in better MPW?
While regenerative breaking is better than two pieces of metal generating waste heat, it does not "make" energy it just doesn't lose as much of it. No regenerative system recovers 100% of the energy.
I drive a Leaf and find I get better MPW by not using regenerative braking, but rather...
