First, I think this will fail and is a publicity stunt. BUT how is this any different than the first roadster a decade ago or William Shatner and Inspiration 4 going to space? Really nothing, they're both a step toward the eventual goal. 20-30 years from now I could certainly see this tech...
This topic certainly got off-topic quick!
First, my thoughts on price... I have a tri-reservation. If that can get upgraded to a quad for $10k I think that's reasonable and I would probably swallow the difference knowing I'm getting more range/speed/features. HOPEFULLY the quad will not...

plastidip I imagine would probably...
Like many people I plan to wrap my CT once it’s in my driveway. I’m thinking a matte black would look pretty cool.
even though the body will be easier to wrap than a car due to less curves, I’m not sure if we’ll be able to (or want to) wrap the tonneau cover pieces. My first thought is will...
my biggest fear when my CT is sitting in a parking lot is people may want to "test" the stainless steel body and metal glass. I better not come out of the store to a baseball in my window!
I'll be using mine partially for business so I'm thinking about a big logo on the bed door. it's a big spot asking for something on it. I don't think I want to go obnoxious as the CT stands out just fine on it's own
I'm sorry, it's a great concept drawing, and I can't picture a better way to have a "proper" roof rack, but it's not pretty. IMHO. Perhaps instead of the solid sides corner posts would give easier access to the bed.
