Right? It isn’t that useful to have to pull the cameras up on the screen. This dedicated viewer should vastly improve visibility. Nothing like driving your Model 3 and thinking everyone is riding your butt.
Definitely recommend watching some of the ride alongs from the event, on YouTube. It will give you some perspective. As others have said, it’s a dedicated feed from the rear cameras, and will help when the vault cover is closed, but also give a consistent feed regardless.
I will say, after...
Have they confirmed the bumpers, or any of the black portion of the truck to be Steel? I know the exoskeleton, and majority of the exterior is, however, in close ups, that appears to be standard plastic on rocker portion, and surrounding. Will be interesting to find out.
Regarding the...
I stare all the time as well..while I’m sitting in my Model 3. I like the different perspectives you get from seeing the exterior on the road.
You naturally get familiar with the interior, and the exterior as you walk around it, but in motion is something completely different.
I can’t wait to...
In this case, safe storage for the meeting after the Peterson exhibit is what I’m positing. Especially with the delays they had with COVID, and scheduling, they could’ve just shipped directly to Fremont with the assumption of the original meeting being very shortly after it was on display...
My guess would be it was moving throughout the facility, out of storage, or display, to go to the 2020 Shareholder meeting. This was probably just as it was passing through.
I can imagine even if you’ve seen the truck before, that you’d still pause when it goes by, just because it’s that abstract.
You have a few options! I was able to go from Woodbury, and hit the one in Duluth proper. It’s a little different than others, as it’s in the Holiday Inn parking ramp, and you just go to the Front Desk to validate your parking.
Hinckley also has one right off the highway.
I also have some...
Even better when you have Bio-Defense mode..which unfortunately won’t be fully in place on CT..at least according to what Elon has said. That would make it truly the perfect escape vehicle. There are videos of people in Model X during last year’s fires doing pretty darn good in the cabin.
**Checks the inter webs, checks Elon’s Twitter, checks the Tesla website**
Nope..no new updates on Cybertruck and it’s capabilities..*thinks to self, man I hope Battery Day gives us something to geek out about**
Other than that..Wednesday is going well.
Model 3 owner. Very easy to not use your brakes, except when there’s sudden braking. I’m excited to see how the regen on the CT is. If you let off the pedal completely, you will nosedive a bit, and feel it slow considerably. Modulate the accelerator to coast. You will get used to it...
I think you’ll see the ratio lower with Cybertruck, just simply for the fact that at $100, almost anyone can place a low risk placeholder on a “dream” vehicle. Keeping in mind a lot of things change financially for people over the course of 2-5 years, and other entrants could persuade more...
I’m feeling good about Q3/Q4 2021 deliveries being started. Site has been selected as of their Q2 results, and prep is underway. I’m calling earlier than anticipated deliveries on small scale, and scaling through 2021. You may see yours in 3 years as I’m assuming a healthy majority won’t even...
Day to day driving the Aeros are actually extremely practical, and useful, as they’ll maximize your range, especially in long distance drives.
I agree off-roading they won’t be practical, but pretty much any other scenario, I don’t see how they wouldn’t be able to stay in place, and be beneficial
They’re likely just aero covers, like on the base Model 3 and base Model Y. The purpose is for range efficiency, but as with the Model 3 and Model Y, they have a designed wheel underneath.
The wheels under the aeros are generally not too bad in their own right. I seem to be one of very few...
Very jealous! If this was a week later, I would gladly take a road trip to see this. My concern would be, drive all that way and you don’t get to do anything but see it from behind a display barrier. Anything would be better than nothing though, to see it in person!
To those going, I hope...
My Father is 71, and while initially he had some trouble driving my Model 3, he ended up saying that it wasn’t too difficult to get used to.
It takes a little time, but a quick glance over a few degrees is similar to looking down a few degrees. I find myself using cruise most of the time...
Looks like Model 3 is getting some side camera love on Reverse. So, it may be possible to have this managed through the center screen, or a setting. Will everyone like it, maybe not, but at least in my area, side mirrors are only required without Rearview visibility. Tesla implementing a...
I’m feeling like there will be wireless charging either in the center console, or a flip down tray below the screen, similar to where the Model 3 and Model Y have their charging now.
I would also be in the 5 seat, true center console camp. I will be happy with it regardless of that though.
