Yes- I'm tracking that. Once tesla enables solar i plan on moving the connection. We have an outage maybe 1 time a year. The longest one in the last 30 years was just over 24 hours, so the Cybertruck will do fine. I'm more concerned about them not enabling the powershare due to having...
Wish there was a poll option- is there anyone with Solar that is installed between the meter and the gateway- where powershare works? I have non tesla solar and am planning on keeping the solar on the grid side of the powershare- so when there's an outage the solar will shut off. The...
Interestingly enough- my dodge does fine with 1000 plus lbs on top. I also have a setup for my RZR1000 that weighs 1600 lbs. No issue whatsoever. Given the Cybertruck is one of the most stiffness suspensions I've ever had and the cg is so low on it, I wouldn't expect any issues putting 1600...
There has been two cybertrucks here in Alaska that had similar incidents in the last couple of months. Be sure to report it when you get the new one. It should be covered under warranty as it shouldn't do that.....
I suspect what you're seeing is the loss of range due to a cold battery. If you precondition while plugged in outside that will reduce the loss. I see similar 'blue loss' but it's not actually lost if you can precondition... but yeah garage helps alot.. I do like this new blue loss...
Should cross post this on the Alaska Tesla and EV owners forum on Facebook! Absolutely ? awesome write up and photos- one question
The Mini- you bought the usb-c adapter from starlink and just plugged into one of the usb-c in the truck? I've just plugged into the 110 with the adapter-...
I watched that sandy Munro video and it's not half full- it's actually full and has an air gap designed in to control a battery failure. If i recall without going back and watching the video again there isn't enough room for another layer or batteries and the air gap for the safety venting. I...
Tracking all of thoes- plus a reliable rumor about cooper landing and glenallen. Rumor is the 4 north of anchorage will happen this summer as they are tied to NEVI grants that were announced earlier this year. The girdwood site is on hold as well as the other sites I mentioned above. I've...
My deposit was also 500. I hear they upped it a few months ago. Only issue I'm currently seeing is the date for availability keeps pushing to the right... first fall of 24 now spring of 25. But that's tesla... :-)
Yup. Hopefully they will get them this summer. I've spoken to a Tesla employee that would know and they indicated there are more planned. The 3 shown and 1 additional in fairbanks were part of the NEVI grants. Oddly the fairbanks site hasn't shown up on find us. Rumor is the site owner was...
I'm currently driving an awd cybertruck here in Alaska- I'm seeing my wh per mile go from summer around 408 to winter 518- due to the efficiency being 2.4ish miles per kw the range hit brings ya down to 1.9 miles per kw. If i don't run sentry mode my truck loses less than a % of range...
I have these tires LT3 275 65 R20 Studded. So far they are performing excellent on ice and snow here in Alaska. I have them on stock rims. They are about .9 inches smaller in diameter. If the truck indicates 65mph you're actually going 64... I've used hakas on all of my cars for over 20...
I've charged to 100% both on superchargers and othe dc fast chargers numerous times and haven't had that issue... I'd get it checked if I was him... I've charged on 800 v systems too without issue.
