I do not know about anyone else, but the idea that they have to crash test a cyber truck is kind of sad. Perhaps I am sadden by the thought because it means I have to wait longer for my truck to be delivered because the sacrificial trucks have to produced and destroyed first.
An additional...
I ordered a JuiceBox for charging electric vehicles. The reason for this particular selection is my local power company (BGE) offers a rebate of $300 after the charger is professionally installed. It is a 40 amp charger that will be plugged into a NEMA 14-50 plug. I currently drive a PHEV with a...
Camp Mode...
I am glad they added it to the software in advance of the CT being released. I am anticipating more information about how the CT can be used while camping. Only two more years to find out if it all works as advertised. I hope the time passes quickly.
I need assistance backing up a trailer; my wife does not. She is REALLY good and has years of experience doing it. That being said, I use trucks for their beds; my wife uses them for trailers. As long as she is around I do not have to worry.
That would be a great option to have. I do not think they would need the FSD option to do it. There is a camera in the back of the CT already; that is how the rearview "mirror" works. It could probably be used to align the truck with a trailer hitch.
I am going to purchase some and test it out on my kitchen appliances. Cleaning the stainless steel appliances will give me some practice prior to cleaning the CT for the first time.
I do not know if it is a "isn't or won't" situation with the towing range. I doubt they have the real world data at this time. I hope as they prepare for a final production design they test the CT in a range of conditions and then release the data. They should also test ICE counterparts so that...
I have never done a long distance road trip in an EV. I have been playing around with the A Better Route Planner application to get an idea of what it would take to do a long distance trip. I look forward to comparing the numbers provided with the application to real world numbers while actually...
I do not know anyone who would drive at 75MPH with a trailer. That is stupid fast for towing something. I am comfortable driving at 60MPH with a trailer provide there is no cross wind. Driving at a slower speed will require less energy.
In the end, the logically conclusion is people should...
I would prefer a non-carpet floor. The trucks I grew up with had rubber floor mats that covered the painted steel floor. I imagine it will be easier to clean out the CT because there is no transmission hump in the middle of the cab.
I agree. I placed an order for the truck because it will be made of stainless steel. I do not like polishing cars or worrying about door dings or paint scratches.
There is a augmented reality program for the Cyber Truck that is available for both iOS and Android. Look for AR Cybertruck in the App Store. I have been playing around with it. The truck size can be scaled so that you are not working with a full sized truck. As. you can tell with the...
I am glad they are going to have a good filtration system for the truck. It is one of the features I was wondering about. I still hope that the second row seats fold flat and allow access to the vault when the cover is closed.
It will be interesting to see what the real world results will be. I hope they do some testing in advance of product delivery so that everyone can make an informed decision about whether the CT specifications will work for them. For those of us who will not be towing long distances, the CT is...
With respect to long distance towing, I do not think there is anyway to properly answer this question until after there is more information about the batteries that will be used in the production version of the truck.
I regret not staying up late and ordering immediately. The only consolation I have is I will get mine a lot sooner than my sister; she ordered her truck 3 days after the event.
