    A Cybertruck discount

Actually EVs are more like a rolling piece of technology than a car. Certain cars because of their uniqueness maintain their value and ultimately become collectable. The most rapid depreciating asset is technology. Technology advances and old technology disappears. The early Teslas have some...

    A Cybertruck discount

I think all of us who bought a new plaid and paid $130k to $140k for a new plaid and woke up to the used market selling them for $85k should get a Cybertruck discount. ? I was quite surprised how quickly my plaid depreciated. It is a heck of a car and the die-hard Tesla fans are the ones who...

What features won’t be standard on the tri-motor and what do you think full spec will cost?

I would expect that the first orders will be the most optioned and most expensive. It would make sense for Tesla to go with the most expensive and make a greater profit while they lean the production efficiency to be able to build the lesser cost models. They will sell the most expensive...

Price for CyberTruck ESTIMATE released by Farzad Mesbahi July 3rd, 2023

I think you have to add the Musk factor. Elon is going to price the Cybertruck very competitively. It is part ego and part smart business. He may not get the Tri-motor under the tax credit threshold, but it will be substantially less than $99,000 and will come with a lot of bells and...

    Reservation Dropout Percentage

I think this going to be a different process. Once you configure your vehicle, it will have to be paid in full; they will que up the build directly from the paid in full que. They are going to want seamless transition from reservation to build. It will keep production high and cost lower.

Musk: "Cybertruck pricing and specs will be different, but it will be a damn fine product."

In my opinion, given the backlog of orders, Tesla should be able to nail their supply chain pretty tight and keep the price reasonable. I suspect that all reservations will be required to up the deposit to say $1,000 in order to finalize the build. I think it is going to be a game changing...

    Price Increases?

I suspect that when the final configuration, options and price comes out all of us reservation holders will be asked to increase the deposit in order to finalize our reservation. That way Tesla will know what the real market is. I bet 50% of the current reservations will drop out.

Factory of the Future (SpaceX/ Cybertruck)

I believe the Cybertruck is essentially fully designed. Tesla is struggling to deign the manufacturing since that will be the key to its success. Cost will be critical. It is very easy for Ford to adapt a F150 to electric. It is not breakthrough thinking like the Cybertruck. Price has got...

Rumors of Two Cybertruck Versions (Including Smaller "Wolverine") & March Reveal Event

Personally, I would like the CT a little shorter. It is going to be a tight fit in my garage. However, I want to keep the bed length.

    STOP excusing for Elon

I think the CT has issues beyond Elon. Inflation is a huge problem and supply chain. If I were in his shoes, I would not want to ramp up and then have issues. In order to keep the CT price competitive, Tesla needs manufacturing efficiency and a robust supply chain. That is not possible...

Would you convert your tri motor res for a quad?

Depending on the cost of the upgrade, I definitely would. The top of the line Cybertruck will have the most options included. Tesla will want it to be the king of the fleet.

    Predicted Cybertruck Pricing

I think the smarter approach will be adding options. That has not been the Tesla approach because they want the efficiency in manufacturIng. Have you ever tried to build a Porsche online? Some options could be 4 wheel turning, motorized bed cover, solar panels, wheels, additIonal body...

    4-Wheel steering

A tight turning radius is extremely important. I do not care how they achieve it.

    Trade In process?

Tesla is just taking trade ins at wholesale; they then sell to used car dealers. It is easy fast, but it is not going to give the highest price.

Cybertruck vs F-150 Lightning vs Rivian R1T - Timing, Pricing, Range, Performance Comparison

Tesla is benefiting from a huge technology disruption. They will dominant. The culture shift for traditional auto manufacturers is tough. EV Is the Tesla culture, and they create a buzz and following. I was at a Porsche dealer this week; they had Taycans busting out the walls, but they are...

Are we thinking there will be a re-shuffle of orders?

I suspect the deposit will go up to probably a $1000 to secure your order once you configure it.

Elon Musk suggests Cybertruck is not happening this year

Tesla already has the tooling for the Y. It is an easy start up for the Y this year once Giga Texas is fired up. I suspect they are still tweaking the tooling for the Cybertruck in Fremount. That is as important as the new plant. I would rather Tesla fine tune the manufacturing and training...

Is it true that Tesla cars cannot be sold in Texas now?

Yes, it is a stupid law; My S was delivered to Houston with Calif title and transferred to Texas. Even in Texas, we have bad public policy. The law is supposed to protect the consumer, but like most big government policies, just follow the money, and you will find who it really protects.
