Hey, the one that was in a collision, is out in my Neck of the Woods! I wonder how much to get it? I could put it up on blocks and sit in it dreaming of driving off-road at fast speeds, like in the Country Video "Southern Rock" (by Travis Denning) ;)

I'm a little late getting to this thread. But let me throw my own opinions. I own two of the Rockpals 200W Solar panels. I have a Jackery 1000 Plus Power Station to go with it. I use this as more of a SHTF, or Ham Radio Field Day setup. So how well a CT will take the power from whatever system...
I see somewhat the problems Tesla is facing right now with FS/non-FS. They had to deal with releasing vehicles when the pent up demand is massive. The FS was an attempt to let even those who reserved late, to possibly get one sooner. But that created a new problem. How to transition to standard...
Ironic that I see the end of FS coming, on the same day I see my 1st CT "in the Wild". I was in South Everett, WA. And it was really hard not to embarrass myself by trying to snap pictures while driving....
I'm just trying to get a rough idea on how well this would work. Sounds like you used the CT for about 18 hours. Any idea on before and after state of charge? How long do you think you could have used it, and still having enough left to drive to a SC?
What's not clear from your pictures, is how you enter/exit it. Does the aft screen swing up? Nothing quite like getting up to go pee in the middle of the night; and not having much time to get to your destination!
Most Mud Flaps I've seen are flexible. These look to be Rigid, correct? If so, can you measure the clearance off the ground when CT is in normal ride height? I'm wondering about how high of curbs it will clear.
I periodically check out the EPA website, to see when they might show CT on it. I'd been surprised that they didn't show any model 2024 Tesla vehicles. Well today I see they finally added most of Tesla's fleet:
I'm saddened by all the negativity from members here, about this. There are so many different ways CT can be used. Why not see how this develops.
I plan on adding Ham Radio Gear to my CT (non-FS). But I imagine I'll get scorned for messing with the electrical systems..
I'm not sure if this tool would help, but I've used a door step, that I keep in my current car. Look for "
"Rightline Gear Moki Door Step". It attaches where the door latches. So I'm not sure if that puts it too far aft to help.
I'm building it so I can Charge it as well. There's not a good way to run from my Dryer outlet to where I'd have to park the CT.
I have my Permit issued. I just need to get it built.
I'll leave the email un answered until Garage is nearly finished. Then we'll see!
One interesting thing in the owners manual is that they recomend higher tire pressure when towing. But they don't mention if you do this als when carying near the max payload.
Tire Pressures when Towing
When towing a trailer, tire pressures must be adjusted to accommodate the additional load...
Looks like it costs $175 for the windshield only. Spendy, but I can attest to the quality. I've had these on my Prius for 14 years now. Still working great!
@Nebucheri,
Talk is cheap on social media sites like this. None of us really understand your specific situation. But the best opinions are likely from those who have actually gone ahead with the CT FS.
I'm in the middle of getting my garage built. So, until that's done (likely late this...
With Hybrid Prius', Hypermiling has been proven to be amazingly efficient. And that's done exactly as the OP suggests. The only unknown here is if Tesla's Regen is more efficient then Toyotas.
When I first got my Prius, I would use this technique to see how efficient I could be. But after...
This mandatory noise for cars is the result of a strong PAC representing blind folks. You can debate the pro's and cons all you want. But manufactures hands have been tied. I doubt it is saving many blind people.
Personally, I don't mind a slight noise if it's discreet. The newer Prius had a...
